There are cheaper options, but I’d recommend checking reviews on those before buying.

Yes, I like to keep things international-an Eastern European accent, British roads, German efficiency, and a German car to top it off! 🚗

Change the oil and filters yourself when out of warranty keep receipts, you know what is going in car every 5000 miles

@garymiller7218 good catch, agree :)

You were allowed to start the car “before” buying it at a UK auction ?, in the past that never happened so things must have changed. For sure engines like clean oil & clean filters (especially diesels) so 6k changes is a must for the little cost that they are to what damage can result IMO
@AndrewMe29 күн бұрын
@gegwen7440 yes, it was exceptional case :), but you're right - usualy not allowed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts - "6k changes is a must".

That's an interesting insight! I must admit, I usually fill my tank up without considering the impact of weight on fuel efficiency. It does make sense to keep it lighter, especially for city driving. While it may not be a game-changer, I appreciate the tip-every little bit helps, doesn’t it? I suppose I’ll have to rethink my fuel habits. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
@AndrewMeАй бұрын
Thank you! I'm glad the tip resonated with you. And sure, it's a point to discuss :) Rethinking fuel habits is definitely a smart way to keep those little costs in check. Appreciate your comment and interest in the topic-happy driving!

"Interesting point! Never really thought about fuel weight that way. I tend to keep my tank half-full for most short trips, especially around town. But for longer journeys, I’d rather fill up fully-no one likes stopping for fuel on the motorway. Great tip though; every little bit does count!"
@AndrewMeАй бұрын
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! Keeping the tank half-full around town is definitely a smart move for lighter, more efficient trips. And I totally get it-on those longer drives, convenience wins out! Glad you found the tip helpful; it's true that every little bit can make a difference over time. Safe travels, and thanks for watching!

Not exactly :) , the car was just idle for a long time, running at idle, and then we drove a bit around the city.

Yes a wet rubber timing belt is great for costly repairs and catastrophic failures
@AndrewMe2 ай бұрын
@joebrown , true the wet timing belt in EcoBoost does require attention. Ford recommends changing it every 10 years or 150,000 miles, but many experts advise doing it sooner-around 60,000-80,000 miles-because if it fails, the engine could suffer catastrophic damage. The cost to replace it can be quite high, around £800-£1,500, but it's definitely cheaper than an engine rebuild!

Doesnt the ecoboost engine have a wwtbelt which often fails
@MykytaR2 ай бұрын
Needs to be replaced every 50k and you’ll be fine

@silvermv6, I answered in comment above. In general it needs to be replaced on time.

"I've been driving my Ford Fiesta for over a year now, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The car is compact, making it perfect for city driving and parking in tight spaces. Despite its small size, the interior is surprisingly spacious, and the seats are comfortable even on long trips. One of the best features is the fuel efficiency-it's incredibly economical, which is great for daily commutes. The car handles well on the road, feels stable, and has a responsive steering system. Overall, the Ford Fiesta is a great choice for those looking for an affordable, reliable, and fun-to-drive car!
@AndrewMe2 ай бұрын
That’s awesome to hear! The fact that the Fiesta is both compact for city life and comfortable for long trips really shows how versatile it is. I agree, the fuel efficiency is a major plus, especially with today’s gas prices.

If you will allow me to say you made the mistake of doing very little research about the way to drive the car before you got the car. Had you watched more You Tube postings and learned more about how to use the car you would have got so much more out of it. Getting frustrated for example about the heavy steering wouldnt have happened as it would have been covered by watching KZbin. Now because of your own lack of preparation before driving a Tesla you probably will never own one which is your loss

@davidjohnbarnard Thanks for the feedback! The goal of my video was to show the genuine first-time experience of driving an electric car without preparation or research. I wanted to capture the natural reactions and impressions. Watching tutorials beforehand would have taken away from that authenticity, but I appreciate your opinion!
