Let me fly it

I'm on the other coast: we have been vet dry over here. We get clouds from the Gulf and North of us, the clouds blow over us with Miami and Fort.Lauderdale getting most of the rains. It surprises me the two pumps were not double-checked in that area knowing the rain was on its way. Only one pump was working, which added to this situation. Many times throughout the year, both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale get rains and flooding. I'm on West Coast wanting some of that rain.

Too much growth, natural run off areas have been compromised. To "alleviate" flooding they have raised house/building pads and road/highway higher which has compounded the problem. So much ground surface area has been covered with roads, parking lots and buildings there is very limited exposed natural ground that would perk/absorb the rain. And the areas of these towns/cities are not at a much higher elevation above sea level the storm drainage infrastructure cannot handle the additional rainfall anymore.

Man if only if it was possible they could pipe some of that water to Sin City. A whole lot of people would be flocking here looking for the cheapest gaming tables rolling the dice just knowing they are about to ge rich.😂😂😂😂😂😂😊.

It's going to happen a lot more across everywhere more rains in some area and a lot more drought in others

Wow, Leslie our schools here in Texas has already started. One of my grandson's turned 5 on Aug 20 and started kindergarten the next day. Bittersweet. So glad things have calmed down for the people in FL. I remember going to catholic schools this one school 1st - 8th we always started before labor day, we were out in May before HISD. Actually HISD used to be in until June. I don't keep up with HISD. 3 of 5 grands go to Clear Creek ISD, the other 2 are not old enough yet. I try to keep up with you. I do get notifications. I think you are the best. ❤ when you left you know who, sorry I quit watching the fast forecast especially when they got rid ot feel good Friday.

Wow 😮 ! What great footage. I know how these folks feel. After Ike, living in La Porte at Sylvan Beach, as our home then was 25 feet over sea level. We were the last to get power back, 4 weeks. MRE and waiting in long lines for water, food, etc. Shoreacres just down coast wasn't as fortunate. I took in 3 young men as I only lived 2 blocks from HS. School was closed for a month. The last kid left the week of Thanksgiving. Totally nightmare. I definitely know how these folks feel. Bolivia was totally destroyed. Strand in Galveston was hit bad. My BFF and I took a drive April 15th 2009 and you could still see the devastation. Michael was truly a storm we Will never forget 🙏 ❤.

What a terrible storm. Carla in H-town i was 8 months old. Many flooding here lived thur, Alicia in 83, etc. Glad the community came together.

Traffic wasn't blocked on a1a if the towers next door was coming down. The erosion never even made it to the foundation of the building. And the beach wasn't blocked off. Ppl taken pics of the damage. Some1 has to stay and start the drying process out. And picking up the pieces. Mold growth starts in 72 hours if the structure ain't drying.
