I built a business. its live. my business partner wants to flake now, as hes not confident in the work. its selling music samples. But I was told in a previous interview: "Is this your site?" "im impressed" "Yeah I was looking through it earlier, im very impressed. This is really good" Then in the pair programming session, using Replit, this online IDE. I forgot to go back and update the connection string to postgres and got stuck for too long like 5 minutes wasted, then he just pasted in the DB credentials to using PG when I spend like 10-15 minutes setting up Prisma myself as he said he couldnt get it to work on his own earlier, but I guess I wanted to try because that was the requirement on the job description. I got rejected because of time.Couldnt quite finish the little project.

Jlau great video man, I have two questions though... First, what apps would you recommend to download on one's phone? Second, would you say this advice also applies to other slightly similar disciplines such as information technology, cybersecurity, data science, etc. Excellent advice by the way!

Man English is really sucking right now. I just wanted to know how big of a program English is for Waterloo. Like here are my marks: gr 12 physics 99, gr 12 chem 98, gr 12 adv func. 100, gr 12 calc and vec 99, and my elective is 100(no adjustment factor). But English is at a 78 😬 now it’s not like I can’t speak English you know. I got good communication skills and social skills it’s just that I was never good at analyzing the ‘deeper’ meaning of a text or writing a 1500 word essay and along with that English is so subjective and if the teacher doesn’t like you, then you’re definitely getting a bad mark. So how big of a problem is this 78 in English?
@Plus8159 күн бұрын
I forgot to mention my ECs are good as well it’s literally just English messing me up

78 in english probably will be a problem so just try to improve it. just try your best, it’s not the end of the world

@@jlau04 I’ve been trying my best but it’s so frustrating. I mean I’ve sat down with my teacher talking about where I can improve. I’ve taken all that information and applied it to my writing but still nothing good comes out of it

no problem! grades don’t matter for getting a co-op tbh unless for Bloomberg or some finance companies. I know people who hit faang and big tech with low grades in the 60’s. Doesn’t matter

Current 2B in physics co-op at UW, had an internship in winter, currently one month into my co-op, still no job. Got excellent rating at my previous co-op and they wanted me back but couldn’t afford any interns this fall. Applied to over 600 jobs, 2 round 4 interviews, 0 offers. They’re all opting for full time experienced employees, companies can’t afford to teach us. Have a meeting today where I might drop the co-op program

ahhh sadly we didn’t have enough time but we were thinking of implementing it with some DC motors and gearbox systems that kinda have a belt moving along the piano. Some people also suggested having two carts for both hands but we just sadly didn’t have enough time for the hackathon.

Hi Justin, my interests are primarily in software development and my dream program is Computer Science. However, due to the immense competition computer science holds, I'm considering applying to Computer Engineering as a backup. One question I have is, are there sufficient software-based courses in Computer Engineering to land software-based jobs, and do the computer engineering students have it difficult when it comes to internships?
@jlau043 ай бұрын
Comp eng students dont have it difficult, and honestly courses don't matter in uni cause you have to learn everything useful on your own anyways. So like just pick what you wanna do: comp eng = hardware focused with a bit software, comp sci = full software. Comp eng gives you better opportunities.
