Thanks man :) The piano in the video is the Yamaha P-125 keyboard which when I bought it was $1,200 but you can get it for half that with some websites!

1:50 I can't believe you improvised a chord sequence that unique and made it work. Also, (4:32) the no-reverb bit right after such a dramatic build caught me off-guard and added a lot of depth. Congrats on making it to the finals, best of luck 🫡

My papa lent me his old Marvel comic book of Silver Surfer a few years ago and I would read it for hours ❤. I loved the idea of an exiled hero that diligently served a world that didn't appreciate him. Anyway, the muted arpeggiator is galaxy-like and the chords are epic but melancholy. You totally nailed the vibe of his story; this is exactly what I would expect to hear in my head while reading the comic book 👍

I've never really been a big reader of comics, always loved adaptations of comics though. I just did a little reading online a bit while I was composing this for inspiration. Really cool of your dad to lend you his copies, too. I know a few people who would get very mad if their comics were ever touched by anyone but themselves, lol

But they support each other through their actions and emotions, learning that sometimes actions speaks bigger than words :) Your piece is beautiful as it evokes the emotion of hope and yearning which is quite gorgeous!
