There are plenty of channels on youtube doing this right now, using Elon Musk, Joe Rogan etc in their thumbnails to push BS spam videos. I have been reporting them for over a year and KZbin will not do anything about it what so ever. The Channel @beyonddiscoveryofficialis one example but there are many, many more just like it that all push the same exact videos over and over and over. My guess is, they may all be run by the same person to maximize revenue theft from advertisers. Can KZbin be held responsible for this since it has been reported for a long period of time and nothing has been done? At this point that should be considered complacent and an accessory to the intellectual theft of these celebs likenesses.

Are you aware of the reason they did not respond to the court? There is a reason for it. If the name was so important to them, of course they would have shown up in court with their counsel, right?

If you hire a video editor to create a promo video for you. The assets they use (ie: music, sound effects, footage, voice overs, motion graphics, ect) are not cleared for Commercial Use without an agreement. Just because you paid someone to create something, unless you personally own every single element used within the video, you could be sued for using it commercially. Re: Fiverr - it's best people stay clear from that platform, unless you are only using it for personal use. Another example is a well know KZbin channel hired a video editor to create an into promo that they used for years on their KZbin channel. One day the owner woke up to see that every single video that had that intro in it, which was all of them, received copyright strikes and was shut down. They later found out that the editor they hired on Fiverr used an unlicensed audio clip that got flagged in KZbin's content ID system. I'm not sure if they tried to take Fiverr and that editor to court, but it's just not worth the risk. If a video editor has any issue with providing documentation of all assets used, then it's best to stay clear!!!

Summary: If you order a gig on Fiverr you can make profit from it but you cannot assign copyright or sue the third party (For copying or using your logo etc). For all rights to sue the third party & to assign copyright to a third party you have to purchase an extra gig to sign a copyright assignment (Transfer of rights/ownership) with the artist.

Man I wish I would of heard this 4 years ago, so had a little e-commerce business that didn’t/isn’t doing to well. So I racked up like $1600 for just having the Llc. What should I do or what options do I have?
