You don't use a skimmer & where is your heater located? i'm looking to start a tank & this looked rather simple!

in my tank, (i have the same one) the return pump compartment gets very low on water and the heater that i put in there is not usually submerged all the way, is this just my tank?

Incredibly Beautiful! I'm just getting into the hobby and am waiting for my tank to come....I would want mine to look like yours...but have soooo much to learn for it to get there
