Not an expert, but I guess one (key?) problem may be how to control many "strings" simultaneously but using only one motor as the source of force or torque. Otherwise the large degrees of freedom would require many micro motors.
@dowesschule9 ай бұрын
Because the motors pull on strings, they don’t need to be inside the arm. If you control many DOFs with one motor, they aren’t really DOFs. Because they can’t move independently. This is what you want though, otherwise you couldn’t control the arm freely.

If robots can perform surgery then Asimo moving like a cat-monkey hybrid should also be easy too.
@williamtarabalka49203 жыл бұрын
If robotics can be used to perform surgery then we can already create them to have dextarity beyond that of the average human by far. - It is then a matter of how to apply that dextarity. - So on to AI.

I believe I joint the IEEE Humaniod Robotics comittee. I have not really did anything yet other than some emails. - But Humaniod Robots will be very concerned about Law relevant to them!!!

[time:9:01]. What make you a successfull [something???]. I cannot hear very well. [begin] ==================== - The market dictates progress. - Keeping this in mind, we can technically be controlled by stupid people wanting stupid things. - What a wonderfully intelligent system we have. ==================== [end]

Julie and I have the same AI interest. - I'm not a professor but I have programmed in Visual RPG [essentially visual basic] for 15 years and I have a [Computer Analyst/Programmer] associate degree. - I am also a Power Engineer(3rd) in Canada, which is a Stationary Engineer or Power Station Operator in the USA - So I have a decent science and physics background. - Digital Electronics is an area I have done a little exploration in as well. - I have pondered cognitive AI somewhat. I have some theories and opinions on Humaniod Robotics in particular.
@williamtarabalka49203 жыл бұрын
I will have a closer look later. But a very important topic. - I will certainly be joining [KZbin---Automaton Robotics] in the future. - I am part of you [Humaniod Robotics] comitte already I believe.
