Thank you for sharing ! We had this 45 single in the house growing up and both of these songs are presented very well here exactly the way I remember them. The British version as I call the international version just sounds too dry of each song. I even thought that the re-channeled fake stereo version of both of these songs was pretty cool as well.

I think the echo added by capitol records is annoying. British edits did not contain the echo/reverb

[THIS COMMENT WILL BE UPDATED WITH MORE AS TIME PASSES.] www.reddit.com/r/TheNewNormShow/comments/1ecaglp/trailer_for_an_early_pilot/ 80-second trailer for early pilot, includes several seconds and unused lines of prototype animation/dialog. Points to early "woke-world" website, which is presumably the title it was being first pitched under. This URL is excluded from the Wayback machine, however, so I can't show you more. The "New Norm" name is at least as old as April, but the "Woke-World" title goes back to at least four years ago. Searching for "woke-world" on dzen leads me to a Twitter account to be covered later. imginn.com/wokeworldcomic/ Extremely rare, early webcomic featuring designs for what would become The New Norm. A promo image which would later be used for a New Norm promo, and six 24-second strips. Notable change is that Charlie's name gains a Z. x.com/under_dogma The first twitter account from the New Norm creator. Currently protected, accessible in part on the Wayback Machine. I found further woke-world comics on dzen.

LOL at the description. They were on "MTV Basement Tapes" in 1985 with "Impressions of L.A." Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow) was the celebrity guest co-host that month, there to promote his failing album "Rescue You." I'll never forget the look on his face when they came back from the video. If you could put it into words, it was something in between "WTF was that s#!t?" and "Die, comm!e scumbags." Of course they bombed. Although I dislike that song even more than he did, I admit to liking "Jesabelle" a bit. (That track should have been the video.) And their last EP, as PJ and the Magic Bus, was a noticeable improvement.

Besides what's in the playlist? The August 1986 episode is floating around. Haven't seen much else. If they are, nobody's sharing them with me. Send 'em my way already, ya know what I mean?

Thanks for this one. Sounds great. Way better than mine. I wonder where most of these people are today? Other than The Pink, I don't know where too many of them wound up. (And other than Phil Fellner, nobody from The Pink is even still on Long Island.) I guess Lee Illickal (Palmer) is still around here. Looks like he lives in the Hamptons. Lucky him. Played out with The Pink from time to time, although I never saw any shows with both of them on the same bill.

The original I Feel Fine as found on the original Beatles 65 album is the DEFINITIVE version for a number/many of us. Here, the 'reverb' or echo in John's voice and in the vocal harmony parts as well as in the instruments is FULL-BODIED. In latter offerings of it the engineers apparently felt the need to accent the feedback at the beginning of the song rendering it hollow-sounding by comparison. The original version of She's A Woman on the original Beatles 65 album is also better and more FULL-BODIED sounding. The original Yes it Is on the original Beatles VI album is also better and more FULL-BODIED sounding than what engineers did with it latter.

Didn't know that Yes it Is was also altered. Unfortunately though I can't upload it as I don't own a copy of Beatles VI.

Attempted lyric transcriptions: Fields Of Laughter: Destiny's made it clear, we were not to be Now I am drifting alone on a sterile sea But soon the time comes when they'll take you away Remember the day we will run, ever-faster I'll meet you down on fields of laughter Driven by waves of emotion, cast away Tears turn the blue horizon to share today So now I ask you, before it's too late Remember the day we would run ever-faster? I'll meet you down on fields of laughter (fields of laughter x3) (Solo) Time will fly 'fore you realize The day will come for us to say goodbye So hold me in your arms Let me hear you say In a quiet whisper, that takes my breath away Hey-hey-hey A lifetime that's spread before us begins tomorrow (?), we sense the direction; a path to follow But in the time that remains, I'm longing to touch you My arms await, we could run, ever-faster I'll meet you down on fields of laughter (fields of laughter x3) Good Morning Girl: Good morning, girl Is it time to rise I can see the morning in your blue eyes Day has come Night has come And I'm feeling fine as you hold me in your arms It's been a long, long time since I have seen you, dear And all the lonely nights now disappear Awaken now, Awaken now, Awaken in your world As I say, "Good morning, girl." It's a sunny day Down on the street And the people dance and say "hello" to all they meet As I awaken As I come alive I can see my own reflection in your blue eyes It's been a long time since I have seen you, dear And all the lonely nights now disappear Awaken now, awaken now, awaken in your world As I say, "Good morning, girl." (Solo) (There's a digital error here I assure you this isn't a skip if it bothers you lmk and I'll retransfer the song) It's been a long, long time, since I have seen you, dear And the lonely nights now disappear Awaken now, awaken now, awaken in your world As I say "Good morning, girl." Oh yeah Oh yeah It shakens(?) my (?) And holds me under You turn to me I turned a cheek A silent kiss, my breath And now I'm drowning in this peaceful sea Good morning, girl Good morning Good morning, girl Good morning Seeking Shelter: I never thought a single day Could matter much as I grew old But now the tide is turning I feel the pull of time On my shoulder now Much older now I met myself the other day In a book of (?)s and (?)s I can't believe The boy I see is me 'Cause every day the same thing The hours rushing by I'm much older now Much older now I start this (?) We're seeking shelter To call my muse We turn to laughter For fear of age We shed our tears We're seeking shelter from the years From the years A last embrace I was there to witness The old one wept As he closed the casket He loved his Ruth for so long Can't believe she's gone Now he's all alone Oh yes, all alone (Inner-groove-distortion solo noises) As we grow older The tensions rise We point our fingers At the other side But if we're to survive We got to pull together We're much older now And we should know better I start this (?) We're seeking shelter To call my muse We turn to laughter For fear of age We shed our tears We're seeking shelter from the years From the years Seeking shelter (shelter x3) Seeking shelter You Can Have It All: When Johnny was a big man Just like his big dad He was raised in a curious way He took him by the hand and said He said "Yeah, yeah," "You can have it all." (Yeah Johnny) If you want to be a man There's a thing you gotta understand (?) he was taught to take But giving in was a big mistake When at the age of sixteen He was given his driving machine Said, "yeah, yeah," "Daddy, I'm a big boy now." "And I remember what you taught me" "I said, I'm gonna make you proud" And in the family garden his sister's laying She was so naïve, at half his age Like a pretty little bird in a gilded cage (?) his desire, amongst the flowers (?) his desire, amongst the flowers (?) his desire, amongst the flowers (?) his desire, amongst the flowers (Solo) When Johnny grew to be a man Making deals and shaking hands A big house and a beautiful wife And politics lean to a right Said, "yeah yeah," "My money gives me all the power, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha." Turned to his son and said, "Yeah, some day I'm gonna show you how." You can have it all! You can have it all! You can have it all! On The Inside: Meditation Fine devotion Mental landscape Colored blue and green Hold the door here They are escape Consequences Relaxing mental state Dream whatever you devise Turn to see the autumn sky Taste the precious drop of life Find the object of your search On the inside On the inside On the inside On the inside Hey! Do you see me? Yes, I see you Do you hear me When I call to you? In the distance Something there Dreaming of you Yes, I love you Dream whatever you devise Turn to see the autumn sky Taste the precious drop of life Find the object of your search On the inside On the inside On the inside On the inside Once you cross the border Things begin to change Objects turn illusion World is rearranged And I, I can touch the blue sky And I, like an eagle, fly Reawaken Eyes are open Time will take you Far, far away Another chapter I turn the page Face the east See the sun again Dream whatever you devise Turn to see the autumn sky Taste the precious drop of life Find the object of your search On the inside On the inside On the inside On the inside

I can partly see what Dexter was going for, the echo does sound good in places. The real problem is that it's on EVERYTHING, nobody at Capitol had the skill of a George Martin or Norman Smith.

I just got the Capitol albums vol 1 cd and its become apparent to me that Dave Dexter added reverb/echo to all these Capitol tracks BUT he went crazy with these two songs. They are totally drenched!😂
