Hello, I've got a light truck that can be compared with Dodge Ram 2500 with less load, smooth driving with less offroading and no trailer used on it. I don't want to lift up the vehicle than 2 inches. I'm looking for a smooth/comfortable ride and handling. Request you to suggest best models (model number) of Gabriel Ultra shocks for my requirement. ordered a set of 58662 rear shocks for my Silverado 1500, and the units came in with no charge and are approximately 10 shorter than OEM units. No straps on them, and I can move open and closed by hand. Called to double check they didn't sent me the wrong ones, and they said nope they are correct and hung up on me. So in sort, Be sure what you / whom you purchase from as you may be screwed. when to Autozone, and and go the correct size for only $15 dollars chepaer than what I paid for a "QUALITY product that doesn't fit "

I just installed Gabriel Ultra Struts GAB G57045 and G57046 and my car is dangerous to drive. When in a turn or just going down the freeway it will all of a sudden veer off left or right. My right front tire was worn bad from it being out of alignment so I got new tires and had it aligned. I went back to the shop and told them of my problem and they rechecked the alignment and made a minor adjustment. Well that only helped a little bit. I told them it feels like the castor is off and that is why it doesn't track well. They said it is fine and suggested I may have a bad radial ply and to try rotating my tires, so I did and it still does the same thing. Unfortunately I threw out my old struts, so I think I will purchase some OEM struts and see if the problem goes away. Too bad I surpassed my warranty period, and so much for ever using Gabriel shocks and struts ever again. Buyer beware. . .

I have a 1996 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado truck and when I'm driving,the front end suspension squeaks.Is that an indication that the front shock absorbers need replacing?

Complicated subject, if you change your shocks and don’t replace your coil springs you won’t see the difference and more or less your shocks will get wear out even before you know it, sometimes your control arms are damaged all bushing components are to be replaced, but assuming you buy new shocks companies who sell them won’t even bother to give that information

DO NOT BUY from Gabriel. I bought a set for my 95 Camaro. Worst experience I ever had with car parts. The passenger strut came with the bottom mounts backwards. Sent back twice, received the same thing from 3 different companies. The driver side had the top mounted wrong. Couldnt get it to line up with the mounting holes in the fender. Huge waste of time and money. Gabriel makes their ultra strut assemblies in China and they are worth shit. Fuck you Gabriel.

The guy on right tightens wheel in a circular pattern not star pattern....FAIL and fail to who ever approved this to be shown publicly
