Instead of watering down the escence of Waldorf education by hiding Steiner and pandering to the woke lunatics Megan should revisit her attitude towards faculty. Countless valuable and awesome Waldorf educators have been fired and let go unjustly. Marin Waldorf School is today a shadow of what once was.

Greetings from germany. I like this warm atmosphere meeting your alums, i can feel the proudly coming back. I am teaching in germany, this kind of meeting is (only sometimes) unfortunately possible at higher schoollevels - its an important experience for the actual pupils and the alums. Great work.

Interesting to hear parent, teacher, alumni, Waldorf experts ideas and impressions of Waldorf Education. An inspiration for those who might consider it. I will tell the parents in my class about this.

"Love is higher than opinion. If people love one another the most varied opinions can be reconcilied - thus one of the most important task for humankind today and in the future is that we should learn to live together and understand one another. If this human being is not achieved, all talk of development is empty." -Rudolph Steiner Well duh is the most obvious thing in the entire universe, love is the primarly force that makes people to EVOLVE with the whole planet!!!!! having taught State schools and schools in foreign countries I at last became a Steiner/Waldorf teacher. At last! A system which acknowledges each child's unique potential and expands his/her capacities. I have written a substantial Steiner/Waldorf teachers'handbook called TEACH THE CHILD IN LOVE and am now looking at how to publish it. Can anyone help please?

Individual human enlightenment would come naturally to every child on the planet… If we unfortunately misinformed, misguided, and misdirected adults would just let them enlighten themselves. There are two kinds of happiness: head happiness and heart happiness. The difference is that heart happiness is always in agreement with your innate, instinctive, intuitive, insightful conscience. Children can feel this, even if they don’t know it, but adults have had this distinction masked by the world in which they live and the decisions they have had to make because of that world. Head happiness is short term happiness. It gives you an almost immediate frisson of joy and then tapers off relatively quickly, usually leaving you wanting to repeat the process in an attempt to keep those feelings of head happiness flowing. Think alcoholism, drugs, crime, overeating, sexaholism, pranking a friend (until he pops you one on the nose), addictions of all stripes, misbehaviors of all stripes, etc., etc. Heart happiness is long-term happiness. It gives you an almost immediate infinitesimally small moment of personal contentment coupled with heartfelt happiness and then tapers off over quite a long time, usually leaving you wanting to repeat the process in a knowing attempt to build on that long term heart happiness, to make it bigger and to make it last longer. Left to discern the consequences of each of these types of decisions, children would choose heart happiness overwhelmingly over head happiness, but, being children, they look for corroboration for their feelings from an ‘authority figure’ (i.e. parent, relative, older sibling, cousin, teacher, instructor, professor, boss, community leader, activist, political leader, self-help guru, prophet, president, etc., etc. And this is where things start to go awry. The authority figure, in an attempt to get their own particular priorities accomplished, will direct the child to think in certain ways, and will direct the child to act in certain ways, and will do so in a way which the child will not readily corroborate with their innate, instinctive, intuitive, insightful conscience, (their Heart Happiness meter). The child, in an attempt to be positively perceived by the authority figure, will repress the feelings that are a consequence of making decisions based upon how the authority figure wants them to think and act. Over time, if these repressed emotions aren’t appropriately expressed, they develop into a simmering cauldron in the subconscious mind. Later, sometimes many years later, when these hot bubbles of repressed emotions burst to the surface of the subconscious, they will be almost totally misinterpreted and misunderstood, because the situation in which they come to the surface is very rarely, if ever, connected to the original reason for the emotion. Think roadrage, domestic violence, murder, manic-depression, mental ‘illnesses’ of all stripes, Aurora, Newtown, Columbine, Texas A&M, addictions of all stripes, frustrages (frustration rages, my specialty), suicide, racism, bigotry, intolerance, Ferguson, Charleston, Baltimore, wherever the senseless killing continues, deep-seated hate, pretty much whatever Trump says, etc., etc. All of this would stop, eventually, if we misguided, misinformed, and misdirected adults would just learn to assist our children, and our children's children, and our children's children's children, and all their friends and peers, to learn this one very important truth. “If you work hard at making yourself heart happier, I am heart happier.” Sincerely, stephenkirby chief program designer 8-12-15 9:25 am pdt Conscience-ness Recovery and Retention Center the oneconscience project [email protected]

I would love to put my son to school like this but I don't have the finances to do that. I think normal schools are not doing enough for our kids. It's just a place where they are locked up to keep them off the streets. Why can't we choose how to use public money to pick school for our children??? Our children are not tough any instruments at school anymore they. My son knows more from me than his teacher. He hates school. Wade school looks like a dream. I wish I could be rich and put him there. Sniff sniff.
