This is now sealed off They put huge rock piles on the tracks and gates on the tunnels. There is no way to get there except a very hard hike over the mountains

Just came from another channel doing the same stretch, they carried their cart on the side of both those places were rock had fallen on the rail :P They never got to the bridge with their cart because they didnt have conical shaped wheels :D

I see that some of the rail runners have very wide urethane wheels and then again yours . are the typical train wheels. Did you have any problem derailing with the track not being parallel to each rail

I've been across that trestle. About 22 years ago, we road our mountain bikes down from Jacumba, and then continued all the way down to the desert, where I had stashed my van for the trip back to the top. It was a once in a lifetime adventure. Thanks for sharing yours.
