My husband is in ICU only 32 yo, luckily not (yet) under ventilator nor tubated but he just won’t prone! Doc and nurses keep telling him, family keeps encouraging him but he complains that’s difficult to breathe like that and neck hurts. He keeps desaturating every night to 86-87 while proning goes up to 98! I don’t know what to tell him anymore to motivate him.

A useful video but you could always use a crutch caddy, which stands yuor crutches in an upright position and allows you to use both hands / arms to lift yourself in and out of a sitting position. It's worth a look if you're confined for a long time to crutches,

When you are assisting a dependent patient I would recommend the caregiver to bend more on his knees in order to come closer to the patient, thus reducing the effort required to perform the manoeuvre together with the patient. This is confusing.

The position of the therapist in front is impeccable. The other on the back, on the contrary, perform a twisting movement during the manoeuvre due to the wheelchair being too close to the bed. I would recommend to place the wheelchair 2 feet away from the bed as to allow both therapists to move without doing a dangerous movement.
