That doesn't surprise me. Although you would assume it would be better on the one X. Funny thing is I have a PS4 as well. But since turning off HDR it looks and plays wonderfully now.

This happens to me on all my assassins creed its really annoying and I have no idea how to fix and I play on Xbox not PS4 so this is definitely assassins creed doing this

This was on the Xbox one X. So you'd think it should run nicely. But when that HDR mode is on it flickers and breaks. Since turning it off it looks and runs great. I would like to try putting it back on to see if any recent updates might have cured it.

No screen tearing on my gaming monitor but on my 4K tv there is noticable screen tearing with my Xbox One X. Maybe it has something to do with the lower refresh rates on tvs? My gaming monitor goes all the way up to 165Hz compared to most tvs (which aren't really designed for gaming anyways) 60Hz.

I'm playing on the 1x as well, 4k but no hdr and I'm getting terrible screen tearing. I think it's just very poor optimization. And worst of all the latest 'patch' didn't fix a damn thing, I think it might actually be even worse at times.

Yeah I'm still noticing screen tearing and strange abnormalities. Like for example there's a shadow or something on the map and it was just flashing. For a AAA game this shouldn't be. For what it's worth the game is good though and fun. But these issues just leave it tainted. Playing RDR2 on base PS4 looked incredible, so it's not the machine or the TV.

We just got it a couple days ago and it completely fixed the screen tearing for me. Though in classic ubisoft fashion it introduced a few new ones lol

I’m furious. 4K OLED tv with HDR 10. Xbox one x. Tearing makes it unplayable for me. Especially having just come from finishing watch dogs which was absolutely perfect and never choppy in any scene through the entire game. I’ve never seen any game this awful on the one x. Wife played it on her tv which is only 1080p and it is fine but certainly doesn’t look as good as 4K. I didn’t start playing it until after 1.04 patch came out and it was literally the first thing I noticed. Just awful and I can’t get past it to just play the game.

I have to turn off the hdr10 in order to get it to stop. I’m playing on the Xbox S, much older series but this is the only game I have that screen tears to such a degree that it’s totally unenjoyable. It’s a shame because this truly is a very gorgeous game to play either in 1080p but preferably in 4K.

in my xbox one x , not 4k display (1080 panel), tearing horrible after patch 1.04, the hdr option on my Xbox one x does not exist, so the tearing continues

Oh no. I did wonder what it must be like on 1080p panels. I think the reason the option isn't there is because your TV doesn't have HDR?

i have the same problem with my xbox one x on a 4k hdr tv, they recently only patched and fixed it for the new xbox series, but Ubisoft stays silent on older consoles. It gets alot worse when u get in big cities and area's in England xD dissapointing to say the least

It is disappointing that the only way to "kind of" fix it, is turning off the HDR in the Xbox settings. The one X is still a very capable machine! Either way, hopefully this helps people.

I’m glad it not just me, I’m starting to hate this game when I know I’d love it if the screen tear and screen flickering at the top of screen wasn’t there! It’s absolutely shocking they can release a game this bad! Sure it’s a faulty product and we are entitled to our money back?! And turning HDR10 off didn’t really help with the tearing! The flicker was fine but now the tearing
