Regarding OpenClinTech: I completed the both new courses within an hour and also commented/gave review! Hope I'm the only one. Also, I request you again (as I also requested it last year) to organize your website/KZbin content from basic to advanced giving tiles/labels and numbers like step-by-step/organized courseworks we get from University. Besides, I requesting you to give an introduction of each video/content on why we're doing it and how it may work in the practice/jobs. Regarding your comment on Worth it? Retail Pharmacist Vs Informatics Pharmacist. I think Brian had to navigate an unknown territory and most of the time perhaps he had to do trial and error. Once he did something and then realized this path is not for me or this is not what I want to do etc. etc. and then he took another direction. Isn't it?!?

I found this study Sessions incredibly helpful for getting up to speed as I prepare for my FHIR certification. I also came across your detailed LinkedIn post about how you approached the certification, and it was really insightful. Would you be able to share your Quizlet or any documents you maintained during your study sessions? I think they would be a great help in my preparation for the exam. Thanks so much!

Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

My friend, I really need help. I am originally a pharmacist but the board has so many restrictions to equivalent my degree here which makes me to work for amazon warehouse for 4 years now. I have a lot of skills in computer. I worked on several projects and I am really an ambitious person and I feel really depressed and disappointed being in Amazon for 4 years and not using my degree nor my computer skills that I used to build for 17 years now. I am 36 years old and living all by myself that can't see my family because I can't go back to country and they can't come to see me. Please help me to start a career in pharm info or even tech in a pharmaceutical company or anything related to my skills or degree. I am not picky, I just want anything better than Amazon as my back hurts too much lately and I am really helpless with no one to help. I promise I wouldn't type this message if I was being in a better state but I am falling apart with no one around to help me out. Thanks a lot 🙏🏻

Hey Brian, I am egyptian pharmacist graduated 2014 that been in love with technology and programming for 17 years now and working on my equivalency here in the US. I really love to work in a field that gather both worlds. I know alot of programming languages and have a lot of projects. Do you still recommend to pursue this pathway 2 years later of your video? Is it worth it? Does it pay better than retail pharmacist? What do you suggest me to study or certification needed to continue proceed in the IP career? Thanks in advance ☺️

They aim to advance interoperability throughout the world - yet they dont offer any free training options - such a gross disconnect and a shame - I understand charging to administer the exam - but there should be a free on demand course that any kid looking to advance healthcare interoperability should be able to take for free - Right now one would have to fork over over 1000$ to take all the course - not everyone has that kind of money - shameful
@briankfung2 ай бұрын
A very fair observation. A couple of comments: 1. Nothing in this world is free. The time it takes to create and delivery value has a cost, so I think it'd be unfair to ask HL7 to provide free on demand courses, regardless of their goals. Everyone needs a way to make money to put food on the table. 2. HL7 provided FHIR as an open standard that they maintain and allow reuse. Their documentation is actually quite good on www.hl7.org/fhir/. Everyone with access to the internet can learn it - for free. 3. HL7 provides discounted prices to individuals that may not be able to afford it. Especially those from low or middle income countries. Related to #2, no one NEEDS to take these classes to learn FHIR. Anyone can learn FHIR for free by reading the website. 4. Despite the 3 comments above, my goal is to provide as much GUIDED resources as possible on KZbin because, I do strongly believe that democratizing access to good education is important to contribute to global healthcare interoperability. At the same time, I also spend my personal free time and resources away from family, friends, and personal health to do it. Because of that, I feel free that anyone should be able to charge whatever they want for their time when it comes to guided/curated resources since FHIR itself, is free.

Yet/Still no video and/or webinar link of CDC FHIR 101 and 102?!!?

Looks like it's harder to access than I had imagined. Unless you signed up for the original webinar, materials seems to be difficult to access. Here's a static PDF of their contents: www.cdc.gov/data-interoperability/media/pdfs/PHFIC_Public-Health-FHIR-Playbook.pdf and here's a related KZbin video from a different group in MITRE: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXPTfa2CqJKHZ7s. Happy learning!

That's a great question. It depends on the organization/employer though. Many probably require a license to practice, some don't. You'll have to look up the job requirements for the specific job to determine.

At least, can you share one circular/advertisement where licensing is NOT a requirement but pay is also good like licensed/registered pharmacists with informatics skillsets? @briankfung3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! This video is a bit out of place since it's not associated with any particular playlist. However, this video is also quite advanced so it's targeted towards individuals that already have a basic understanding of cloud computing, notbaly with Google Cloud, and working with FHIR. If this video is too complicated, I'd encourage you to start with some basic FHIR videos first. Once you're ready to get deeper into the weeds with implementation, this will be a great place to start!

Can you please send me the link of the webinars? (I'm not sure why I'm not getting anything about it. I wonder, is there any geo-restrictions!!!). I'm from a low income country and the rate for those HL7 and FHIR is still high.
