Working at Emerson as a controls/systems engineer would be a dream true! I sent my application for an internship already, hopefully I get in!

Can you guys make videos that are about Assembly or entry level positions?!??!!!!? Trying to see what I'm getting myself into but all you have is engineering or big wigs talking the jobs that they'll never have to do....

Kudos to Hank Green and Emerson for the initiative, but this falls incredibly short of the mark. Emerson is only opening this program to children and grandchildren of Emerson employees -- primarily an engineering/technology workforce. Meanwhile, Emerson's main campus is located in Ferguson, Missouri and surrounded with many disadvantaged kids that could benefit from We Love STEM days. The goal is great, but the target audience is a clear miss. Please consider expanding your offerings and doing outreach to your home community.

How is hank green an off brand John Green? They don't even work in the same fields. Being brothers doesn't make one less than the other just because one has more fame????

I don't get the negativity from the rest of the comments section. I agree that it's about time STEM became an environment that accepts and supports women. Women shouldn't succeed in STEM in spite of the related environment, but because of it!
@bobrobert11237 жыл бұрын
Delenn Jadzia because discrimination based on gender is sexist
@simonk71547 жыл бұрын
Delenn Jadzia I don't get it STEM does accept women
@simonk71547 жыл бұрын
unicomisMEI So what should we do about it? Employing more women just because there are women could hide true talent from men(No I'm not a sexist, I'm okay with female scientists and want gender equality (not a feminist tho) I agree that there should not be bias So what should happen?
@unicomisMEI7 жыл бұрын
Simon K21 well one thing we can do is support the women who are currently in STEM and encourage more to pursue STEM as well has educating more people about the bias because even just recognizing that there is a bias can help a great deal. You start to see more of it when you know what you are looking for and just by changing the little things you can start a ripple effect. Honestly it doesn't seem like much but baby steps are the beginning of every revolution.
@simonk71547 жыл бұрын
unicomisMEI Okay TBH I think people are aware of the bias So we're on our way to the unbiased STEM 😀

This is a great idea! So many videos exist about the same things I learn in my lectures, but so few on what to do once I finish my degree. Thanks!

but broccoli is good. Also I'm not gonna like math no matter what I like science cause we made cars for eggs. they didn't listen to my ideas and we failed but it was ok. I almost fall asleep in math because we talk about the same thing for forrrreverrr this advertisement is stupid

I always wanted to have a job in coding but I don't have the money to sink into a degree, and I feel like it could easily be moved to overseas. Can anyone tell me what you think. It just doesn't seem stable for me. Is it?
