In case you decide to ask why I said Poniko vs Omori and not Basil, here's why: •Both are the main titular stoic deuteragonist of an indie horror RPG game that was inspired by EarthBound •Both are the creation/shadow counterpart of the main silent child protagonist(Madotsuki and Sunny) that suffer from some sort of past trauma •

And before you ask why not Basil for Poniko instead of Omori •Both are the main stoic titular deuteragonist of an indie horror RPG game that was inspired by EarthBound •Both are the creation of a silent child protagonist(Madotsuki and Sunny) who became a shut in because of a past trauma •Both live in a creepy yet colorful dreamworld (The Nexus for Poniko and Headspace for Omori) that was also created by the protagonist to cope.with their trauma with their main home not being too far from it (Poniko having a room in the Pink Sea and Omori having a room in Whitespace) •Both their rooms turn into dark and scary places when the lights turn off(Uboa's Trap and Blackspace) •Both have taken over their creator's to destroy their dreamworld(Poniko possessed Madotsuki to destroy her Diary and Omori took over Sunny and made him jump of a hospital building) •Both have a knife that's powerful enough to kill their opponents in one go(The Knife Effect and The Red Knife) •Both are immortal in some sort of way(Poniko being able to exist as long as Madotsuki exist or being to wake up if she dies in the dreamworld and Omori doesn't succumb) •Both take on a more monsterous and creepy form in that is triggered in the game(Poniko turns into Uboa when the lights turn on and off repeatedly and Omori takes on a more red and black bloody appearance when he fights Sunny) •Speaking of which,Both became friends with their creator's(Poniko being part of Madotsuki's Dreamworld and Sunny using Omori to interact with people in Headspace) before eventually fighting them(Madotsuki as the Dream Destroyer fought Poniko and Sunny fought Omori in Whitespace) and lost in the near ending(Dream Destroyer Madotsuki absorbed Poniko and Omori accepted defeat after Sunny accepted the truth about killing Mari)

The Judge himself stated in the early game that he can use the box to save his progress so...that's the possibility And can interact with the player

Because its not canon that omori loses even once, its a game mechanic, its not like undertale that its canon where you turn back time when u die, theres a reason that when you lose in a fight as sunny you dont die or turn back time, cus its meant to be, and also because its the real world lol

@@r221grace i think its because its the only safe place where mari can't be hurt (or die), that's why you always see here in a picnic sharing food whit friends even in sweethearts jail, omori doesn't want mari to interact whit the adventures you have because its dangerous, so what does he do?, break's mari's leg so she can't run or walk too much, basically a picnic basket is the sense of safety that's why you can save and load there or you can load in your menu, well i yapped enough i hope you like my explanation because i could be wron anyway lol
