It’s my first time doing lights. Never tried it before, so unformilia territory. 😅 If I mess up I can just not turn on the lights. 😅😅 plenty of room in SA to do this tho.

I got my LEDs from AliExpress, very thin. Think I used a 0,6 mm drill and the wires have room to spare in the lantern. But they don’t flicker. 😩

Angående lys i lanterne, skær bunden fra bor et hul i denne der passer på et messing rør få fat i noget lakeret kobbertråd og brug denne som + leder

Bunden bliver skåret af og hullet bliver boret. De led jeg har er Ultra tynde, så de kan komme igennem et smalt messing rør, som bliver bukket og enten loddet eller limet på bunden af lanternen hvor efter det bliver malet. Det er planen indtilvidere i hvert fald. 😁 Skal bare lige have nogle backup lanterner fra AL før jeg giver mig i kast med projektet. 😃🫡

I seemed to have solved to acrylic issues in most cases by diluting by ten to fifteen percent water applies better and flows out more even without a colour variance

Yea, they wanted all the guns on that deck to be detailed and rigged. I’m happy I only opted to do the 12 in total as you’re not gonna see a bloody thing. 😅😅 The last guns on the main deck you’re gonna see so they will get the full details.

Im using both White glue (pva) and CA glue, a very thin kind, so you get the capillar (?) effect.

It is quite huge. I have HMS Victory (BB version) king of Mississippi the old AL version. Santissima Trinidad from Occre. A cheap Chinese wish kit, that I want to make into a diorama. And then soon 1 more kit, that I won’t say yet. 😅❤️ To be honest, Santa Ana takes 95 of my time. The others are half built and didn’t think any would be interested in watching videos with already half build ships. 😃

I’ve built many ships in the past. 10+ can’t remember all of them. Only build a few big ships, as they take so much time to complete, but on the other hand it’s well worth it as the outcome will look incredible. My favorite are the medium size ships, as they are easier to handle. Santa Ana is very difficult but not something that can’t be done. It just take extra time. With newer ships you get a lot of help with either precut gun ports or a template or already casts gun carriages and the rigging is simplified. But they are still a lot of fun. 🤩 Build what you want, big, medium or big. Just have fun with it. ❤️🫡

I just purchased the base unit @OcCre part number 19110 and have build it to the halfway point, and will finish it today. I'm not quite ready to expand but you know that will come quickly!
