The section of the ring you found is Rolled Gold. As opposed to plating, it is a thin layer of solid gold that is bonded to the base metal. Thanks for another fun video.

Those striped down beach searches in your area could be turning up all kinds of things from past military testing going all the way from WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. Many bloburites could even be from exploded missile or torpedo components or blown-up melted targets. Most would think it was from a campfire but, I bet over aren't in those conditions and most others down in the wet like that. Hopefully any toxicity or radioactivity is gone from them, we tested a lot of different things before we understood how dangerous they were all over the place. We were still doing dangerous crap in the eighties when I was in. And there is no telling what is on the dredged sand beaches. Love the videos, keep them coming! I always liked those sunsets over there on the west coast over the ocean. The one time I went to Florida I made sure to get early enough to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic the last morning I was there at St. Augustine beach.

Kool,I found a Buffalo once in a field in Wyoming, disapproving an old saying and figuring out an old wonder,one disapproving the saying of I don't have to be fast,just faster than you,and why is there always a lone tree left standing in a field. A friend of mine and myself came across an angry Buffalo in a filed that gave chase,as my faster friend was a bit ahead probably thinking the further he gets from the safer he is until I changed everything by deciding to climb up the only tree in the field as the bull counting to chase him and I was able to climb down and safely walk calmly our the other way as I hurd his screams of w.t.f help

Hi Mike, those stainless things you have been finding a lot of, they are tines off a tow behind beech rake . I work for my local council and we have the same machine here,and yes I have found a few myself 😂 ps ,keep up the good work mate ,cheers Les .

greeny silver is part of a ankle bracelet(they are made to jinlge). Indian, likely silver over copper.

I have seen those springs used for cabinets on boats to assist with opening horizontal cabinmates and hatches, Boats and RV's. The ones on car hoods are usually heavier.
@jimnichols34327 күн бұрын
the spring tines are from a Barber surf rake. My local beach uses that model rake to clean up the trash, seaweed and sticks that wash in. (and steal necklaces from the sand). They set ours to rake the top two inches of sand, but the hit rocks or large sticks an occasionally break a tine.

As in the comments before, they are rake or thatcher tines. Probably for cleaning the beach. Anyway, great video. I always enjoy watching. I'm Idaho, no beaches here, unfortunately!

Part 2. I just thought what you need on those night hunts. Some bright fluoresent green boots to help illuminate the digging of the treasure.😊
@ronwaldron96268 күн бұрын
😮That's what I would call Pitch Dark. My night hunts are limited. I always thought I was going to miss something really good. Finding aa little silver always makes it worthwhile. Good catch on the scoop. You have a more adventurism spirit at night with the waves. I will stick to day hunts in the wet.😊

Hey 👋🏻 there Mike, I hope you and your family are doing well. I couldn’t see a thing that you were finding only when you brought it up to the camera I saw it. It wasn’t a bad hunt for you many coins, silver quarter, gold bling earring and all kinds of fishing weights. Well, I’m happy you had fun on your night time adventure. Have a wonderful weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜

Great video with lots of older targets, I was surprised there weren't any older rings mixed in with those older fish weights (fish weights is something I have been trying to force myself to call them, they've been called sinkers for my whole 57 years lol) Is this video from before your Minelab update? I heard Jim mention on a video to you that the update fixed whatever wet issue he was having. Hope this comment isn't held up like my last several have been.
@OLdweeb8 күн бұрын
Last month I dug a 1 oz & repeatedly called it a fishing "weight." After I watched the video, I realized that I used to call them "sinkers" as a kid and so did everyone else I knew at the time. 😳

The metal things that look like a tent spikes are dethatcher tines, also known as thresher tines used on farming equipment for wheat or hay harvesters. You must be near an agricultural area where storm run off brings them down to the ocean somehow.
@tommychew65448 күн бұрын
That is what they look like. That or something used by the military underwater for possibly searching for something in the sand.

I know what you're talking about, a commenter replied to a different channel awhile back about recovering from getting clubbed in the head from behind by one crack heads! Alone at night would never be a good idea in todays would and two might not even be enough since you're concentrating on what you're doing.

Did you have someone walking with you? If not, then you had a ghost speak up at the 11:40 ish mark… someone talked over you and said “yep” while you were talking about the penny you found. I listened to it several times. Male voice.
