I have a controller similar to the x box with a vibrator and another logitech type ps4 and the cooperative in this game literally does not work both controllers control the same character I tried everything they say and it is a lie this game left the cooperative halfway it would have been better if they had removed the option because it does not have cooperative

i'm so glad they're actually doing a full event of Seth finding the truth. when I realized he was the only agent who didn't know yet, I thought for sure hoyo would throw him aside and like make him deal with it off screen, so i'm very glad they're treating the subject with care and love for the characted and the players who love seth (like me) ;U; but also, i'm so shocked, dude!! wdym commissioner lowell ordered not to tell seth the truth??? what does he have to do with any of this and why would he wanna keep this a secret from his own brother??? hoyo I need answers please give me the follow up already 😭

Exactly! Seth is in a very unique position as the only character that doesn't know Belle and Wise are Proxies so I'm glad the issue is being addressed rather than assuming he was told about it off-screen. Moreover, this could take a very interesting route since they have a genuine friendship unrelated to Proxy work

Man, those drums at the beginning always hypes me in this cover. It sounds like Seliph's resolution to cleanse his father's name and to free the whole Jugdral from Arvin, Julius and Manfroy's clutches and perverse schemes. Hopefully if Nintendo finally releases the rumored GotHW remake, this chapter's theme will start this way.

Yo that aerial combo on Catoblepas was really hype! A Dinosaur sure did end dramatically, lol! Was that one of those 10 hit damage multiplier skills? What an amazing run! A total joy to watch all the way to the end!

Exactly, the Earth Kamui's Banish Blast dealt 9 hits and then the Fire Kamui's dealt the 10th hit, triggering Asterisk for massive damage (and a Stun for good measure too haha). Thanks for watching James!

I think you have to complete Chapter 4 and a small Interlude that unlocks afterwards before the Trust Events for all Sons of Calydon members become available

It should appear automatically once the second stage of Burnice's Trust Rank is maxed (the circle around the green smiley face is full) and you advance to the next in-game day. In case you meet that requirement, make sure that you aren't in Immersive Storytelling Mode from an active quest of the main story/Agent Story/Special Episode/etc as that would prevent the Event from appearing

You should get it the next in-game day once the first Rank Up Event is completed and you have the tape Zhu Yuan is asking for, which is called "More Than One Truth". This tape is unlocked after finishing the Battle Waltz commission

You may be missing the movie she's asking for, which is called Black Tales (you need to be at Inter-Knot Level 35 to unlock it). Once you have it, she should send you another message and then you can advance the in-game time to continue with this Trust Event. If you already have that tape, check that you aren't in Immersive Storytelling Mode from an active quest of the main story/Agent Story/Special Episode/etc as that would also prevent you from continuing this Event. Hope it helps!

Yeah, it's a frontstep, moving the joystick to the left in this case, to move towards Milla. Otherwise, it would be a backstep to get away from her if I moved the joystick to the right

Had a bit of a busy time these days to post but UH Final thoughts of the run is I really really enjoyed this. It was born out of our own interest in the game and we didn't expect much from it but we came out the other side surprised how much ToZ had to offer even when a lot of bosses were rather simple. There's a lot of fun interactions and ways you can push the game, tons of situational use cases for each Arte and spell and more importantly, it highlights how if the AI was good offense would be way more satisfying and people don't need to rely on nuclear strategies every single time. What I mean is, there's a large amount of skill expression and strategy expression, even despite the somewhat lacking boss design at times. I wish there were less bosses and more of them had gimmicks like Salamander or Catoblepas to force you to play differently but that's a very Kevassa-specific comment lol But I actually think this was one of the more fun party runs I did and it made me wonder if coop runs completely replace party runs since it felt like a straight up upgrade in many regards... I know we didn't have the largest amount of viewers in this run, and this comment is coming late, so I dunno who may receive this but I just wanted you to know, thanks for watching! And thanks for Zeke for the incredible work put into it, of course!!

• Cerberos: 0:00 Wait, where’s the third head? Cerberos is quite notorious because it’s so difficult to combo during a normal playthrough and it will break free at a moment’s notice. But as you should know by now, this isn’t your ordinary Zestiria playthrough! By making good use of Edna’s Triggers and other high tier spells to add as much hitstun as possible, Cerberos doesn’t stand a chance. We even manage to include Rose’s first MA, which hasn’t been used yet. • Kamui Illusions I: 0:55 The Illusions barely have any HP or decent defenses but they’re Kamuis at the end of the day, don’t underestimate them even if they’re made out of paper. The best way to deal with them is at the same time so we approached both battles with a focus on crowd control, although with different strategies. For this one, the highlight is a more traditional AoE lock while manipulating the Illusions’ position to group them. • Kamui Illusions II: 1:26 And for the second encounter, we take advantage of the pulling effect of Horizon Storm to get the Illusions in a favorable position until one of them is in range for a Dead Capture. AI Rose even helps by pushing the Water Kamui closer, how nice (and strangely useful) of her! • Symonne: 2:04 Since Symonne starts so far back we can push her and use the edge of the battlefield to trap her. In this position, Kev got to experiment with Burrowing Dragon, making multiple of the mines hit for a more offensive use of Rose’s traps. Symonne is also a surprisingly light target which allows some unique combos on her, like keeping her in the air with Tornado Fire or that cool launch with Blaze Swarm into a longer spell chain at the end. The next four bosses are actually optional but rather than jumping straight to Heldarf, they act as a fun mini-gauntlet before reaching the final boss! • Catoblepas: 3:11 Can you believe this thing gave us endless grief? Believe it or not, even this late in the run, we had to plan quite a bit and hope the beginning goes our way to get this fight consistently because Catoblepas has just a ton of unique properties that make it really, really, really annoying: it can heal part of the damage dealt due to being Undead, it has absurdly high hitstun resistance, cannot be staggered by Void attacks (Penetrate) while resisting Earth, it can teleport around the battlefield, likes to attack from a distance with fast projectiles and it loves to guard. Very fun. We came up with a 100% consistent intro of Sorey’s Sonic Thrust into Partner Blast while Mikleo casts Twin Flow. Sonic Thrust, being a Void attack, forces Catoblepas to guard despite its Penetrate and the Partner Blast is guaranteed to guard break (note how the SFX can be heard a couple times), which ensures Kev can hit its Water weakness during this window to start a Power Combo. Here you can see just how amazing Splash and Violet High are, making what would be a very difficult to combo boss much more manageable, even coupled with the always elusive aerial combo! By the end we wanted to set up a grab finisher with Dead Capture (we’ve grown very fond of this janky spell as you can see haha) but Catoblepas’ Stagger Recovery Rate is so high, Kev needs to mash with arrows just to prevent it from escaping the grab mid animation… which can happen, much to our dismay. Such is the Catoblepas pain! • Hippogriffon: 4:27 And right after that mess of a boss we have a giant joke! As the Monster Book convo states, “Hippo” stands for HP because this thing has a lot. That’s its only remarkable trait. Hippogriffon has a weird hurtbox, as is common with flying enemies, but for some reason it’s… just so easy to combo. This was mostly free-styling and having fun rather than going with a pre-planned route and the result was excellent. • Ammit: 5:36 This was a really hard boss but because of the wrong reasons! We kept getting Stuns back to back at the beginning and it just exploded, despite having HP that rivals Hippogriffon. Other than our bad (good?) luck, the big crocodile makes funny noises but it’s yet another kind of a joke boss. • Dinosaur: 6:43 Finally, another dragon enemy! Hold up, are dinosaurs dragons? 🤔 In any case, we need to set up a Stun to start a proper combo against Dinosaur and the same combination of Crimson Edge + Partner Blast is guaranteed to Stun, just like against Tiamat, while Rose hits its Earth weakness with Deathblooms. It’s important to note that due to its hurt animation, the melee AI characters have trouble positioning since they want to attack the body rather than the head, so they don’t offer much help. Just look at how much poor Sorey struggles. Something we noticed is that if we “failed” to apply a third Stun, the combo will drop and Dinosaur will always use Neigh as its recovery move. Due to its lengthy start-up animation and the fact this attack doesn’t have a hitbox until Dinosaur roars, we use this timeframe to launch a Banish Blast with the Earth Kamui. It is guaranteed to Stun on the first hit while the damage gets progressively higher until Dinosaur explodes, which led to some fun interactions and it was a great way to end the battle. However! What you will see also caught us by surprise. And that's Invalid damage by the way, which is reduced by 90%. • Heldarf (Phase 1): 7:32 Heldarf’s a big target but he can’t be staggered by Void attacks (Penetrate), is pretty heavy and has a decent hitstun resistance. Rather than being hard to combo he’s kinda clunky, although to be honest he’s less intimidating than a lot of the bosses that came before. Even if he were to attack, his moves are heavily telegraphed and easy to dodge. After dealing ~26k damage, which can be quickly accomplished with a double Banish Blast setup, a cutscene will take place. As it happened with Lunarre IV, additional damage won’t carry over as Heldarf starts the next part with a fixed 78.510 HP. Not much changes at this point though, he just gains some new attacks. • Heldarf (Phase 2): 10:45 The second phase is by far the longest fight in the run and it’s a true test of endurance to do cleanly. The idea of Kamui Heldarf being a raid boss is interesting but sadly it isn’t executed that well. Kamui Heldarf is a big DPS check, first for 100.000 HP to force him to use Indignation and then another 50.000 to interrupt him and use a powered up Mystic Arte with Siegfried. Trivia time: these Mystic Artes had unique names in the Japanese version that were related to each Seraph, but unfortunately the English version goes for a more generic “Ultima”. Our strategy was to keep the Fire Kamui for as long as possible due to being the best DPS out of the four with Ancient Nova. Technically, the Wind Kamui with Last Frenzy is better but it’s much more inconsistent. Since you can also hit Heldarf’s arms and his position shifts constantly, coupled with having the highest Stagger Recovery Rate in the game, the “combo” can break mid-Last Frenzy and he will gain invincibility. But when it works, boy is it powerful. This also means we have to coordinate and not just attack blindly, so our spells are chained as long as possible before Heldarf inevitably escapes. The rather generous Indignation damage check time can be used to swap seraphs if necessary (to skip using Earth, for instance). While most of Heldarf’s attacks can cover a large part of the battlefield, there are some blindspots, most notably on the right side. It isn’t completely safe however, since, for example, the claw attack that hits the back of the battlefield starts in that position. Strangely enough, Heldarf gets easier the longer the fight because more attacks get added to his movepool, with some of them having notorious blindspots even in front of him. There’s not much that can be done to make this phase interesting so we make sure to include our Banish Blasts and Rejuvenation spells for extra flair. • Heldarf (Phase 3): 14:51 The final showdown, Shepherd vs Lord of Calamity. This fight is over as soon as a Mystic Arte is used, which would require only 1 BG in my case, but where’s the fun in that? Instead, I planned a small combo to end with a bang. I have to dodge and Charge a bit at the beginning since I need around 3.75 BG for this to work. Thankfully, Heldarf used his Earth-elemental attack a couple times, which can be Perfect Dodge twice to speed up the process. The initial part of the combo is, as usual, the more inconsistent one. Sword Flare pushes Heldarf slightly to the side, which allows Sorey to pass through him with Raging Winds, otherwise he would be blocked by Heldarf and the second half of the Arte wouldn’t connect. Depending on the launch angle and since not much hitstun has been added at this point, there’s a chance Heldarf breaks free before landing. The next sequence, Side Step → Freezing Strike, isn’t guaranteed to work but if it does, it’s smooth sailing afterwards. And finally, there’s a reason for the order of the elements I used during the last part of the combo, what could it be? 😉 And this marks the end of the run, for now. There’s still additional content like Alisha’s DLC or the postgame that we would like to do in the future but for now, this is it. Thank you all so much for watching and we hope you enjoyed the run as much as we did working on it! This was a project born out of love for Zestiria and hopefully that sentiment was shown, and shared, throughout the run. While Shadow Arena was the most strategic and difficult from a traditional perspective, which made it very satisfying, I gotta say the Maltran fight is probably the peak of our combo knowledge and choreography. The intro was so exquisite, me finally coming together min-maxing Edna, Zeke utilizing Alisha to her fullest potential and managing damage juuust right before the combo became impossible for Alisha's MA finish. And of course, I gotta say the Tiamat fight came mostly as an idea of "when can we do this?" and we decided it fit so well we HAD to do it this way, even if we had to do some major manipulation to get it to look cinematic lol

But yeah I love how varied we managed to make these combos and this is where we really get into some spicy coop combos and it'll stay that way up until the end. I still love rewatching some of the choreography and launchers here which means we did something right! Hyphant my beloved. I cannot describe how much joy this fight gave me <3 I was laughing for at least 20 mins after lol

Okay. This is my favorite Zestiria video by far. The combo against final Lunarre is impressive. The Maltran fight with the Alisha finish was pure beauty. The Myriad Circular into cutscene transition was a great touch and while I'm not.particularly fond of MA chains, you used it in such a wonderful way, against the right boss at the right moment that it just fits f*king perfectly. Peak Zestiria. Congrats on the amazing job.

Fun fact the Maltran take in particular was blessed by the jesus of Tales takes as we weren't actually doing the math and we were SO CLOSE to not killing with the MA by a few hit points it's not even funny lol I'm glad you enjoyed the cinematic Rising Up experience!
