Great video! Wondering if its worth a visit, I am thinking of coming down on Saturday with the nice weather to do a full film trip around London. Do you need permission to get onto the platforms and film? That'd be easy enough as I'm a railway worker myself but just without the hassle. Thanks!

HI, thank you. Ive never had any issue, but you may get asked what youre up to at the London termini. I always carry my railway ID just to be on the safe side though!!

The ex 508 trailers in some of these 455 units must now surely be the oldest stock in mainline passenger service. The 455s have certainly earned their keep over the last 40+ years. They are now older than the 4 SUBs were when thd 455s replaced them.

Love this layout. If you want to make it even more realistic then slow the trains down a bit. A coach should take roughly 4 seconds to go over a set of 15mph points at 15mph....

There's no guarantee of them flying but the German and Italian Air Force are at Waddington for 3 weeks, in previous years its been Monday, weds and Fridays flying missions. The best thing to do is join the "waddington/wave" group on Facebook as they post daily or "fighter control" forum likewise

The Typhoons were really low when returning back, they flew over Boston at perhaps 500/600 feet. We were stood in our garden waving like crazy at them, I think the neighbours thought we were crazy;)

After going to see Top Gun Maverick yesterday (amazing film) I have a new appreciation for more modern aircraft, other than Tornados and Harriers which I always liked. but my favourites will still always be world war aircraft, I live about a mile from an old Avro factory in Chadderton so Lancaster's are top of my list. But as I said I now 'get' modern aircraft more. I don't know how they fly those things, takes major balls .

A shame that despite many flypasts over the years, the BBC and Sky are still unable to film them properly. The best videos are those taken from the ground by members of the public. Oh for the days of Raymond Baxter

The flypast for the 100 years of the RAF over London filmed by the BBC was terrible ,filming the aircraft as they came into sight before the aircraft in front flying up the mall had reached Buckingham Palace.

On that occasion I watched the flypast from just North of Chelmsford. Although they were a bit high. They are nothing like the flypasts of years gone by, but we don't have as many different types of aircraft now.
