Why does my Wyze Cam V3 produce so much pixelated noise in livestream at night? I can barely see stars with all the pixels breaking up and blurring everything. Can anyone suggest anything please? Oh and I have the night vision turned off. The camera is installed on my house's roof, it is not far from the router, probably 10 meters away.

Excellent. Have you had the opportunity to compare the Wyze v3 with other low light cameras such as the Hikvision Colorvu series?

Thank you for the info about the Hikvision Colorvu camera. It's still a reasonable cost range and seems to have a great performance for meteors. Definitely I am interested in it.

I have a similar camera (Wyze 2) that I've been using to detect meteors for the past eight months. Do you have any suggestions about how to detect meteors on the videos without just visually going through them? And could you share what kind of software you use to combine frames to get an image of the meteor streaks? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks for your posts!

I've been using this camera since July 2022. I've had lots of luck imaging meteors but still haven't found a quick way (software) to analyze the videos and detect the meteors on them. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! I am in Indianapolis, IN.

Are the recorded files about as noisy, blocky and pixelated as when they are uploaded to Yotube?

Yes. it is just a 30$ camera.We cannot expect too much lol.

@@makotoi.tanaka2777 Aw, that's too bad. I understand the bitrate is quite low. If only it could be increased somehow. Also, is it true that you can not download the video files from the memory card while it is inside the camera?

@@TheImprovisations It seems it is true. I hope someday a software geek can make a tool to hack the data. BTW, the RTSP streaming is available (unofficial) so you may save the entire record to your local storage.
