Some of us are barely making it as it is. Not everyone can change situations. There needs to be affordable housing.

He has a sister. Brenda Reid. And FYI, many deaf are educated and have college degrees including PhDs. So yes we can read and write.

My husband went to the same school and he was on the football team with Steve. He says Steve was always dressed immaculately and came from a well to do family. Supposedly his parents bought him a car and his own condo but he wouldn't accept it.

As his ex fiance, I was with him for 4 years. He is a wonderful man & great father when he was not drinking. He tried to get help and that only lasted so long before it started up again & again. The addiction is so real and when it's available everywhere, it's hard to stop. We tried to make it work for our 2 children we had, I helped him go to Florida to start his life over from NY & get a job and be around his family and build a relationship with them again. I hope he gets better & seeks the help he needs as we are not in contact anymore and have not been for a few years. I hope he got the help and is safe and going good out there wherever he may be.

Also there comes a time in everybody's life when they need an angel and I could tell that was his moment and you were his angel. At least he won't have to die with the doubt or best said live with it if nobody in his family wants to talk to him.

I've never seen any of your other videos but I suspect this is your best interview I can relate to how he feels for reasons I rather not get into I learned from another video recently that the unemployment rate among the deaf is high I try to learn ASL from time to time and be cool to those people but its hard to understand - they sign so fast. I don't know any deaf people I worked with a deaf person recently but some might say she was grouchy but I understood why she felt that and always tried to practice and communicate with her but then she would get mad at me and stop talking to me yet i say i understand because she was relegated to doing cleaning jobs and the likes of jobs that others don't want, at times those were part of my shores when there was no one else to do them and she would get those assignments instead of me and maybe she felt like she got passed up for promotion plus some of the high school kids knew sign from school. i have learned recently from a video that they can do everything we can do except hear.

I cant, for the life of me, understand why the government doesnt make people on disability take drug tests regularly. My Mom desperately and legitimately needs disability, and she cant get it. Meanwhile, you have people like this, who do. It’s ridiculous.

This is for those who think her story is bullshit. Oh man I grew up tough on the streets of WPB. This is NO JOKE!!! My 11th B-day I was smoking and drinking , by age 12 I was smoking weed in the girls bathroom, an my preferred drink "Soave Bolla" (Wine), and my parents decided I was old enough to babysit my lil bro's by age 12. So on my 12th B-day they went to the keys, and that night my lil brothers older friend broke in and thank God the neighborhood boys heard me scream (Thats all I want to say about that). My younger bro trevor" was 9 and he introduced ME to weed!!! WE grew up on the streets of West Palm. It was not New York City, but it was NO picnic!!! I know I was nothing more then LUCKY!!!! By the grace of God go I? OH the stories I could tell you. Ppl sit mesmerized when I tell my stories of my childhood. Instead of judging.....LOOK AT HER AND SEE HOW LUCKY YOU ARE!!! She has been on the streets so long, not even know what's true and what's just nightmares anymore. This woman is screaming for help, if she don't get help soon, it will be to late ):

Addiction ran in my family until it ran into me ; this is my father . He is a real piece of work, just to put it lightly. Do not get me wrong i respect my father . Mutual respect and cordial understanding are what is left between us - Im thankfuk he has spoken out and shared his story ' yet i feel his heart is not in te right place - i feel , if he can use the resources that could come from this video he should get raw and really open up & ditch KIMBERLY PARKER ! TWO SICKIES DONT MAKE A WELLY

Thank you. He isnt entirley truthful though. I love this regardless. If he felt ashamed to do this, he wouldn't have. His statement at the end is truthful, he doesnt blame his children for what they've decided to do. He isnt ready to come out of his position because he hasn't the motive to. Life and society have definitely beat him down

This is my father and I wish and pray I could help him.. I’m a addict in recovery and my heart is breaking and I’m pooring tears right now. As a addict I know you can’t help someone until they’re ready and after watching this I believe my dad could be ready. There is much more to this as many of you also know “you heard him say he had a lady friend with him” so When my little brother and sister called me and told me about this video we decided we go talk with him. He’s a great guy! Please pray for us!

Ppl can call bullshit on the kid all day. However my childhood best friend had a baby at 12. But I don't believe the story of his parents marrying him off at 13. Come on, how do u support a family? He really thinks we are gonna fall for that?

Don't anyone give me a hard time for this. But am I the only one who notices that if an an African American woman is in the streets. Some how the majority of them pull their lives together. I'm honestly curious why that is? Is it because they generally come from strong family backgrounds?

The family don't have enough for housing. I'm sure they only have enough for clothes. That's likely why they offered the Halloween costumes. They may not be important to n adult, but they are to kids.
