I disagree in part. My hands are not consecrated, therefore I will not receive the Holy Eucharist on my hand. Canon law backs me up on that. No priest, no bishop can refuse Holy Communion on the tongue.

The fact of the matter is that it is just as pious to receive in the hand as it is on the tongue. Are you trying to imply canon law prohibits communion on the hand because that is not the case.

No I’m not. But some priests will refuse to administer Holy Communion on the tongue or acknowledge an act of reverence beforehand. I was nearly refused the Eucharist when I genuflected before receiving Him. This was in the diocese of Fall River, MA in 1998. That priest sternly admonished me saying “we don’t do that here” and that if I ever presented myself for Holy Communion like that again, he would refuse me.

google THE BRIEF RULE OF SAINT ROMUALD and make it your "default setting". keep to a 24 hour schedule. make your worldly "job" your manual work/"apostolate". recite the breviary or the franciscan lay brothers office: matins 24 our fathers vespers 12 little hours 7 each. good luck.........i think "habits/costumes" are unnecessary. the hermit's chief virtue is discretion. i practice "invisibility" = no outward sign (matthew 6:17-18). don't go "canonical". coptic monks wear interesting simple hoods.

Thank you for your video. Regarding canon law 603, I'm curious why you've chosen the path of a lay hermit as opposed to one that is canonically recognized. Are there advantages to being a lay hermit?

I used to be a Nun for 13 years. My community went a little sideways and I ended up leaving unfortunately. After being dispensed of vows 12 years ago I lost my way. Now I’m back and I still feel I should be a religious done how. If I can’t join religious life again I’m thinking of life as a hermit. I work in the Hospital doing night shifts so it’s difficult with the fatigue I experience to have a routine but I’m going to need to something soon bc I can’t spend my days sleeping for the rest of my life. Please pray for me that I find God’s Will. I’ve been really struggling emotionally with my past as a religious. I really miss it and would love to go back. I know if it’s Gods Will He will make a way for me.

@@HolyFamilyHermit God Bless you - I too was in religious life and I left. I saw politics involved and I felt repressed. I am now serving Our Lord in the church in my vocation as a married woman. All part of the journey - am so happy to just be myself without any negative influences.

Henri Nouwen has the concept of the Solitude of the Heart, it's similar to St. Ignatius of Loyola Contemplation in Action. It means being able to do prayer while in the midst of action or with people, and this is helpful for me as a Seminarian. However, I do believe that setting time for actual solitude, silence, and prayer is still unreplaceable. While you can pray as you are working, you cannot replace prayer time with work. Please pray always for me, the Clergy, for the Church, and for the people around you. God Bless

The abuse started over ten years ago. Several years back they (a non profit organization with tax exempt status) made a public post doxing me for talking bad about a drag queen who died. If it was an individual, it would be different. But they don't have to pay taxes and they dox a former founding member. I've always been Catholic. I was just misguided and lost looking for a place to exist. This was my earlier 20's. Around 30 I woke up and embraced the teachings of the Church striving for simplicity, purity and loyalty to my faith and family.

Communion maybe cures also physically. And keeps more healthy than without. Although Communion is relationship and meeting Jesus our Lord. Body is important. But the soul and spirit more?!

No. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and receiving Holy Communion is the only valid form of worship. Everything else is veneration like prayer groups and singing songs. That is not worship. The Body and Blood are the only True Sacrifice. Sacrifice is Worship and only by sharing in the Wedding Supper of the Lamb, are we truly worshipping.
