Last of the commander-in-chief presense built to last forever greats the new ones are just plastic tech.

The only thing I'd like to add is that the AOS is a badly designed part and is prone to failure. I'd expect the new AOS to last 3-4 yrs and the smoke will slowly start to return. That was my experience anyhow and I'm assuming that's the reason why owners don't replace them and just suffer the smokey start up.

I’ve driven one and once u actually drive it you’ll be more interested in the the sound of the cold start and other cool stuff it does u won’t be worrying about the quality of your window buttons, you will be happy ur in a Maserati to begin with. It’s not super special on the inside but everyone is downgrading it like it’s not a cool car or they’ve even been in one to begin with 😂

I test drove both the auto and the manual, and much to my surprise, I much preferred the automatic. It allows you to relax, cruise and enjoy your coffee when you want to, and in manual mode, you can shift with the shifter, or the paddle shifters. It’s friggin’ awesome, and when you flip it into “Sport” mode, the shifting and engine setting change significantly for a sporty drive. With a manual, you are a slave to always shifting, like in congested city traffic. Note that many of the super high-end car makers no longer offer manuals - that should tell you something. I don’t miss the manual at all, I really wouldn’t want it at all.

one of my dream cars but with the v8 engine like s550, but never get 4matic because mercedes benz made a horrible unserviceable u ball joint that when not taken care of can take out your exhaust and catalytic converter with co2 sensors .

The W221 is like a spaceship. Yes it costs more to maintain these but it costs to be the BOSS! You get what you pay for. I love mine! Has been one of my dream cars and I finally bought one. 😊🙏🏿

... as a matter of fact, this W221 will go down in history as the last true S-Class. Everything newer feels like a a bunch of plastic glued together to maximize profit for the company. No heart, no soul ... like a slightly larger C-Class. I will keep my W221 until my last breath 🙂

To me our cars have a classic, elegant look without the added on bumps and protrusions. I opted for the Convenience Package, along with heated seats and steering wheel, with remote start. Only difference is that my Z4 has black Vernasca leather (can you please post a link to your floor mats - they look amazing?) Actually, the design is based on the 1960s Lotus Elan. Pop Up headlights have been around since then. It’s not necessarily a 90s thing though it made a small comeback. Antennas? Again, around since much longer than the 90s.
