I think I'll stick with TPBs collecting main series for this, House of M and Civil War. What's the point of an Omnibus that doesn't act like 1 unified book? Main series at start and then tie ins is a waste of money and time. Superior Spiderman Omnibus did it correctly.

In my opinion this was the last great Detective run. It ran from around issue 822 to issue 850. It featured stylish cover art, lots of standalone stories and two-parters as well as most of Batman's rogues gallery and even a guest appearance from Zatanna. And don't forget the great scripts from Paul Dini as well.

Great review. Although the series did have good, modern ideas the execution is terrible. The Image teams jump ship after 6 issues, in most cases. It was a chore to read as a teen.Liefelds art is still and always incompetent, Jim’s great.

I have the Resurrection of Ra’s HC at home so is that the only companion piece I need to get all of the plot for this Omni? I know the Omni only has Dini stories and are thus missing issues from other writers so I just want to make sure the plot is cohesive
