I haven’t tried that no. Does everything show up pretty clear even in salt water?
@jakethesnake2x3 ай бұрын
Have you tried using the panoptix ps30 transducer, with the Garmin PS31 mount. We use this alot in the Nordics to fish Salmon in 120-200 feet of salt water. Works well and with beam angle of 135x40 you see alot more.
@seanselaimontgomery50925 күн бұрын
I use mine in the flipped configuration for trolling deep for King and coho salmon up here in Alaska. My balls are usually at 80-125’. Can you see your balls and baits that deep? I have a hard time seeing them that deep at times. I’ll definitely try that beam angle for sure

I’ve been debating between this and the 850xd for a while. Still can’t decide. I will use it for winter camping and fishing
@unreellife Жыл бұрын
If you’re by yourself, the 650 would probably work, if you’re with someone or a couple of others, extra room certainly is a bonus. Personally, I liked the “rounder” shape over the rectangle otherwise I would have bought the 850. Either way, Eskimo makes good insulated tents. Let me know what you get!

Not worth the up grade no 4000 setting eats gas like crazy.. in power down small space will be to hot 2 half the run time on 20 pound. I run 4000 to stay consistent warm cant cook and heat at same time the flex is a flop. You can't find in store any. More the masses have spoken little demand tons of big buddies again with little buddies on shelf no flex or flop 🤮🤣

Yeah it is awesome. I love the cooktop attachment it starts easy some things I would change but understand why they did them (ie the knobs on the back of the unit and the cooktop not being able to run with the heater at the same time) great unit though

Yes, They are both run on the little green propane bottles. You can buy attachments to have them run on larger propane tanks.

How much did it cost you for the Garmin display only and Livescope Plus? I had looked at a setup but it was over $3,000. What unit are you using and cost?
@unreellife Жыл бұрын
I bought the Garmin echomap 75 plus on sale at cabelas for about $700, then 4 years later bought the livescope LVS32 for around $1500cdn on sale. I don’t have the livescope plus though. That is a better system. What display unit was it?
@Askeyb2011 Жыл бұрын
Not sure now what unit but it was a bigger maybe 10" screen then you are using. It wasn't a Echomap unit. I believe it was a GPS only unit but will display LiveScope. It was a combo package with unit that displays only and Livescope Plus. We already had the Humminbird Si GPS G4N so I went with the Mega Live. We do river fishing for salmon on the Columbia River and Willamette River. I wanted it to search for fish and do landscape to watch trolling gear and where the fish are and if interested in what I'm using. Several guides now use live transducers and say it is really frustrating when you see fish and they won't bite. Also real excited to watch them come in one your gear and bite.

It should work. How far back do you set your lines?
@jkline999 Жыл бұрын
thx for the reply. it depends, of course, but usually 40 to 60'. I was hoping mainly that I can use it to target fish and get the plugs right on top of them.@@unreellife
@unreellife Жыл бұрын
@@jkline999 so far I have been able to see my lure “live” in action up to 70’ behind the boat. If you put a pivotable mount at the back of the boat you should be able to use it for your application. The “cone” shooting out back is only 20 degrees wide. I think I might do a video and test it for this application!

Hey thanks for watching! So, I've been able to see my gear fairly clearly up to 100ft back. Of course the sensitivity (Gain) can be adjusted as well. I have not tried it back more than that yet.
