Phil Kessel simpley is not that hungry to win any longer, having won 3 Stanley Cup rings with 2 different teams (2x Penguins & 1x Golden Knights) seems to have him fed. Then add 3x NHL All-Star player, Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 2007, participated in 2x Olympics + 2x IIHF WC with Team USA etc. so he feels at this stage he have not anything to fight for other then securing a NHL pay. He can always play in any European league team and still be on a respectble pro level if he really wants to play.

it's a shame that he left toronto the way he did. Toronto management are absolute idiots for giving away for nothing, then he goes on to win multiple stanley cups and even outshine crosby on the pens his first cup with them.
@fasteddie777666Ай бұрын
he won 3 stanley cups....not 2 like you said !!
@ThePuckWatchersАй бұрын
At the point in his career I was discussing he had only won 2.
@fasteddie777666Ай бұрын
He was robbed of the Conn Smythe....his points and goals were the ones that mattered in that run !!!

so dumb they gave crosby it when he was the man for the pens that playoff run.
@fasteddie777666Ай бұрын
@@sneakyvee Kessel had 3 points more and played less minutes in the playoffs.....I think you should go watch again .....I bet you will see if you aren't biased to Crosby !!!...If the gave it to Kessel.....that would have started a War !!!
@kylebaker5982Ай бұрын
Oh man, if I was him I would literally take league minimum just to get the last 8 points to get to the 1000 point mark. That would eat me alive and wouldn't be able to walk away 8 points short of 1k career points and would most def give him a very good chance at a hall of fame spot. Loved the way he played when he came to the pens and was awesome to watch. Was able to get him to autograph my cup jersey. Was not easy for him to sign tho and had to give him the cmon kessel, ur my favorite player lol. But he did stop and sign it which was awesome.

Dude was awesome player until time caught up with him. The Cancer didn’t help with the longevity. I’m going to go to 7-11 to get a hot dog and a blue power aid in honor of the man.

He didn't play on the first line in the 2016 Cup Run when he lead the team in scoring. He didn't play on the 2nd line either. Phil Kessel played on the greatest 3rd line in Stanley Cup History: the HBK - Line! With Nick Bonino at Center, Carl Hagelin and Kessel on he wings.

They need to get Brendan Lemieux from the Hurricanes. Maybe he and Brady Tkachuk can smooth things over. The Sens need more bite.
@alainsoucysergerie98792 ай бұрын
I do think he's deserving of a spot in the Hall. Maybe not first ballot but almost certain all the same. I loved his contribution in the last Pittsburgh's two cups. Then, scoring 30-35 goals for the early 2010s Leafs, especially with how low scoring was in general at the time, is pretty much the equivalent of scoring shy of 50 for today's Coyotes or Blue Jackets.
@jockejocke12 ай бұрын
If nothing else, playing 1,000+ consecutive games should be enough to get into the Hall imo 🙂

Technically, the Hart is not the "Most Valuable Player in the league", it is " The most valuable player *to their team* ". It is an often overlooked, but very important criteria difference.... It is why they also have both the Rocket Richard, and Art Ross trophies as well for goals, and points, respectively.
@metalheadcol2 ай бұрын
Another reason why Nate Dogg should get the Hart this season, 34 games and counting point streak at home, 2nd all time NHL record behind Gretzky at 40, now owns the all time season points record in franchise history taking it to 122 so far, Nate is having a season like no other #GoAvsGo
@BlueFlash252 ай бұрын
For me, it's the player that is most valuable for their team, so I think Kucherov deserves this the most, Tampa would have 0 chance to make it to the playoffs without him, unlike Oilers or Avs.
@Silica_Packer2 ай бұрын
Yes. Brady was made Captain way too early as well. This team is built wrong, but you can't compete in Canada. Cdn vs US dollar, taxes, no trade clauses, endorsement deals. I'm ready to dissolve the NHL in Canada. It's not a fair playing field. F the NHL and f Betman.

We have been so blessed to have seen him dominate the league for as long as he has. As sad as it is, it is very easy for people to hate on him or take him for granted either cause of jealousy, attention seeking, nationality, etc. It shows complete lack of class and respect when fans do that. Ovi is also I feel like one of the most misunderstood players ever too. People say all the time he is "selfish" or "all he does is shoot in one spot" and this video you made shows exactly how inaccurate that is. Only idiots would say those things. A true fan would know far more than that. I know that because I am a life long caps fan. People bust on him with his defensive aspects too and the thing is no player is perfect and to be even more fair ovi is a winger and while everyone needs defensive skills, wingers don't have to worry about the defensive aspects as much as a centre's or a defenseman would. Hopefully more of those people who desperately try to diminish his value watch this video so they can get those things of fo their heads cause what they say makes them look like fools

There's 32 teams.... It's hard to win a cup it's harder then roulette which has 32 numbers. Kreder destroyed Prices Career. Price was the best Olympian goalie ever 1 goal against in the whole tournament, great career, but sometimes he get sleepy and lets in bannana's.
