This clip may have been from '86 instead of '76. I don't think the show started until the early '80s. The picture quality is pretty good, I wonder when, where and how you obtained it.

Sorry just noticing this comment. It's not a clip from 1976, it's a film called '76, set in Nigeria. So good. Recommend!

The voice, the control and playfulness, the generosity to share 😍 It's so good of Ruth to keep doing it, maybe this moody crooked London place gets little bit nicer for her singing. Thanks a lot Ruth, you're amazing 🙏

She sang on our road last Thursday what a lovely break in the day. Beautiful voice. Obviously being on The Voice does not always help talent. Where is Tom Jones now? Wil i who?

This is great! This method will really help you learn Pidgin faster! I wish it was in English or had subtitles in standard English so I can help with the Pidgin 🙌🏾

Its my "mistake" that You speak in english "under this videó" I know Russian very well but there was no comment so I did write but later decided I only "mesau" so I retreated. Anyway You should speak in Russian as its your very great culture! Viva Mironov and his sexy very nice(sorry currently I dont remember her beuty name) Ukrainian partner.

What? Anti-soviet movie? Are you stupid?
@jyuts43595 жыл бұрын
Well, this film was based on great satyr book that criticised the soviet system:)
@DartLuke5 жыл бұрын
jyuts actually it criticized only some Soviet elements of 20s. This period was named NEP-new economic politics.

I wish I could watch this movie but I can't find the subtitles anywhere on the internet.
I got a friend who is part-Russian and he was named after Mironov and I only know know who that is, so thanks about the upload Oleg Mihailik, lol.

Subtitles, do not forget subtitles.

Had a minute for another translation. Life and days of Strategic Air Force pilots in the USSR, as gritty as Jack Nicholson woulda presented, but with a slow malleable soundtrack.

Aha, one can add subtitles to KZbin. Nice, I can tame my thirst for song translation now in a more appropriate way. Takes a fair deal of time though. Most of the movies from the USSR are boring and unimaginative puddle of liquid shit. What would you expect from an authoritarian sect that mentally shut itself out from the centuries of shared human experience? Sadness, bitterness and phantom pains from severed civilisation -- that's a distinctive feature of art and underground life of the USSR. Little they knew where that sadness came from, most of them considered it a Russian soul thing. One way or another, it's either their daring attempts to escape the reality, or their extreme dedication to the very subtle fabric of reality that earn some of those artists a place back in the shared human family. 12 chairs is a movie about a sleazy con artist desperately pursuing a set of antique chairs, one of which has a cache of diamonds sewed in the cushion. The book made famous quotes: _'money in the morning - chairs in the evening, money in the evening - chairs in the morning'._

That's profoundly incorrect. Most of USSR era comedies still hold to this day. There were lots of excellent films from this era, not just 12 Chairs. To single one out without crediting the others is negligent.
@mihailik9 жыл бұрын
Nicky Engwish Come on, most of the USSR comedies are only interesting to nostalgic old-timers or to anthropologists. In the long term human context they all are tacky and corny. Including this one, I guess -- it's just that here the artist managed to offset the cheesy smell with a rare aftertaste.
@sixesandsevensus9 жыл бұрын
No doubt, a lot of the appeal is pure nostalgia. I grew up sneaking peaks of these films and thus the interest now. But Djentelmeni Udachi, Brilliantovaya Ruka (and many of the cartoons like Nu Pogodi and Neznaika) are excellent if you consider the subtext.
