Honor Blackman had an actual black belt. In the grave yard fight scene, she really broke the man's jaw. He was. Professional wrestler and finished the scene anyway.

Tara King looked sexy, confident and strong in this scene. She plays the bad-ass character exceptionally well in this episode.

Would love to see you wearing a black karate belt wrapped around your white gi, and practicing your self defence techniques using karate against a man, that would be soo cool ! I’m a karate black 2nd dan in shotokan karate and love teaching oss🥋x

Like a lot of the fights in The Avengers, always quite funny to watch and never too violent.

So sexy in the skirt and pantyhose as she punches him in the balls and pushes him into the wall and the sword falls and kills him.

She had some good moves, as did Emma, but I always thought purdeys fights were better, even though shorter.

Now it makes much more sense that Honor Blackman was cast in Goldfinger (1964).
@billmurray74734 жыл бұрын
If you notice , Honor used many of the same moves in Goldfinger that she used in The Avengers.
@jeffsullivan20443 жыл бұрын
I think that was part of the reason she got the role; beauty, BRAINS, and real fighting skills.

I hope she bought that stunt man in the grave yard a drink after legitimately kicking him in the face.

The Avengers; a series that gave us a male AND a female lead... without beating the audience over the head with it like today's shows. Honor Blackman; a televisual pioneer. She will be missed. (1925 - 2020)

Marvelously intense facial expressions & a wicked karate chop. Should've included her great line just before the first clip -"Do you really need a gun to deal with a woman?". And that close-up at the end - oooooh my!
