This is only the third version I've found which includes the third part of this jig. Congrats, I love it.

I'd love to see this series again, and for the music to be released on cd. Music from my childhood

A nice arrangement of a grand tune. I’d never heard of that one before but your playing has stirred a need to fingerpick it myself. Thank you.

Lovely. Saw The Oyster Band on their farewell tour a couple of weeks ago. Makes me feel young again.

Superb. My generation grew up with the Acker Bilk recording. Performing it on the concertina adds something of the Irish slow air to its already wistful, emotive, quality.

53:51 he is my late great uncle. The name's were wrong as the man before him had my uncle's name. He has been in a magazine and worked hard since the age of 6 i believe he said. I only met him 3 time's but always heard about him and his boats.

Nice versions - and a bit less intimidating than Will Allen's YT video! Your Pressed Wood is like mine - with no 'HOHNER ACCORDION" crest on the front. Mine's a D/G though and the grill and bellows are different.
@folkbluesnbeyond3 ай бұрын
Thank you. The pressed wood was blind ebay purchase which came from Belgium. As to Will Allen, his playing is brilliant, but generally with a high energy approach, sometimes at the expense of nuance. I particularly enjoy Tony Hall's exploratory excursions. (No less brilliant or less danceable but, more to my taste). Best wishes, and thanks for looking. Bill

Fantastic to find you again after so many years. With all the folk festivals we have attended over the years. And working (now retired) on Sidmouth folk festival. You were by far the most popular group that we wanted to see performing. Thank you from Tony the Badgeman (Godfrey).

Not heard this one. I have Fat Tuesday, a tape I bought when I saw them at a Morris Dance weekend in Scarborough in the early 1990's. They left a lasing impression as they were just gobsmackingly full of energy - absolutly superb. I came across the tape again and decided this is worth the effort of getting onto the mp3 player. Out of curiosity I started wondering what else there was of theirs - thus finding myself here. I tracked down another of theirs on KZbin as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXvaXnyel6Zjg9E so it looks like there were three albums.
