Agreed with the comments. I’m interrsted in buying this specific product, but the website doesn’t show interior pictures. Came here for inferior look of the bag. I can’t pull the trigger on the purchase until I know what the interior looks like >.<

Shouldn’t the weight be on the hips, ideally?

With the design of the All-Day Lumbar Pack, the weight should be on the shoulders. The pack should not sit on your hips at all, it should sit closer to the center of your back. This way, you can get all day comfort without putting the weight your lower back. Hope this helps!

Have the backpack, mine has web shoulder straps use it everyday as my EDC getting dirty and will be cleaning it today thanks for the vid!!! I do have a few questions.....like...would like to know if I could bring it in to you guys and have you add a outside poouch to it for a water bottle( have 32oz hydro flask.) and a couple of outside loops for some caribiner clips( use'em for key rings.). I am originally from Duluth and frequently there.absalutely love the backpack and have the zippered duffle bag

Is there a place to attach a bedroll to the bottom?

Hi Friend! The bag featured here was a limited edition Scout Pack that we no longer manufacture. The standard Scout Pack we still manufacture does not include a way to attach a bedroll. Our Bushcrafter Pack and our Outlander Pack have lashing tabs on the top flap that can be used to attach a bedroll. Hope this helps!

Great idea. I am looking to get this. Any reason it doesn't have chest strap. Chest strap keeps the form keeping bag closer to body. It has same functionality as waist strap and often underestimated.

Hi Friend! This bag was designed to be a smaller version of our Bushcrafter Pack, which does include a chest strap and a waist strap. With the smaller design of the Outlander, the waist strap sits higher and across the stomach, where as with the Bushcrafter the waist strap sits closer to the hips. Because the waist strap is higher on the Outlander, the weight sits differently and we decided the chest strap was not necessary for this pack. If you do desire alternations to the Outlander Pack, we do take custom order requests! Hope this helps!

Hi Friend! The Bushcrafter and the Pathfinder Bushcrafter are the same exact pack with a different logo, the Pathfinder series is a line of our packs with a different logo for the Pathfinder School with Self Reliance Outfitters!

Just finding out about you guys from doing a lil research on Made in USA brands. Thank you guys for showing what real American Pride and Work is. I understand your work is on the expensive side, being how bad our economy is and American Handy-work definitely adds value, but it’s helluva lot better than the cheap, factory made, foreign products. Keep the American dream alive!

I love my freelance briefcase! I can fit quite a bit in it. I use it as my daily bag for my stuff. It can fit my transit brief too which is my laptop bag(wish it was brought back)!

Do you still sell bags of the scraps of the cutoffs you can't use? If so do you do the Bison in any of them as well? Been a customer for some 30 years now! Miss going to the shop and factory both. Duluth is a 2nd home for me! I have several packs, all still going strong, Monarch #4, Bushcrafter, etc, and the regular cowhide one of these in a bigger size and more. Snowshoes came from you, maps, lot, lots more too.

Important to load paddles where they are easy to reach but won't accidentally get smashed if things get tippy. Especially true for some of those rocky BWCA portages.

I got this after visiting the store and smelling the beautiful cedar aroma inside. Paine’s also makes a balsam fir incense. I am not a fan of the balsam fir. It just smells burnt, to me, but the red cedar is beautiful.
