What a strong woman. She actually went to live in the country that created her personal hell.

Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing - if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. -1 Timothy 2:11-15 The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 35 If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. -1 Corinthians 14:34-35

Now we know with certainty how wrong was the Nixon pardon. Had Nixon been charged with his crimes, then a far more reasonable Supreme Court would have decided the issue of whether a former President could be charged with a crime. Instead, we got the Trump Court decision that Presidents are essentially above the law.

What a superb interview. John Dean was only 35 years old when he became ensnared in Watergate. Please read Blind Ambition, John Dean’s autobiography. It’s fantastic.

I (generic white lady) cried when Barack was elected. It was the only political moment that ever felt beautiful to me. Why? The joy of triumph for your people, but also simply because Barack was pure class as a human being, all race aside. It was just so nice to have that class in the white house, it brought so much dignity to our nation, and hopefully we will find more candidates like this in the future. May Kamala carry the torch!

This lawyer knows damn well Watergate wasnt about Hunt, Liddy, or anyone else. It was the fact the CIA was waiting for the burglars, and made sure McCord and the rest were caught. Nixon sealed his fate when he went to China. Certain people wanted him out, and Nixon is licky they didnt whack him.

"Black men will be able to marry your daughters." The crux of the whole situation. As we see now 150 years later, that was nothing to be concerned about. Most people are comfortable about marrying someone who looks like them.

President Ford was my first vote and my best one. He had courage, decency, and vision. I will always admire him and I might also mention his Vice-President, Nelson Rockefeller. I can only imagine how it COULD have been if the Right-Wing nuts hadn’t prevailed with Reagan. 1980 changed everything and not for the better in my opinion.

Lincoln, like every other victim of a Presidential assassination, clearly objected to the the Fed. and Central Banks, as a rule. Demonstrates that from early on, Central banking was viewed by these presidents as a tool of Imperial aims, as an arm of the military.

Because Nixon was a real one! Nobody thinks of the reason/fact that he could have been a scumbag and “silenced” the watergate burglars, but the man sacrificed his political career because he wasn’t able to do his guys like that. Speaks volumes about his integrity compared to most others.

Dean does not mention [maybe because not asked] about the key to DNC secretary Maxie Wells' desk, wherein there was a list of CIA "honey trap" prostitutes and Democrat clients. One of the Cuban burglars had the key on them, and was nearly shot by the arresting officers when he tried to secret the key. The hooker list reportedly included the ex-roommate of Mo Dean, and, according to Jim Hougan's "Secret Agenda" book, Dean urged the fateful June 16-17 break-in, perhaps to retrieve the book, after Dean, a week earlier had obtained another hooker book from a Asst. US attorney prosecuting another prostitution arrest.

Charles Munger's reflections on his long-standing friendship and partnership with Warren Buffett are pure gold. Their bond, which started in 1959, is a perfect example of how shared values and complementary thinking can lead to incredible success. Munger’s take on what makes a great company-long-term durability, strong management, and competitive advantage-along with his 'big ideas' approach to investing, offers timeless wisdom. His focus on mastering fundamental principles rather than chasing trends is a major reason why Berkshire Hathaway has been so successful for decades. Their partnership is truly one of the greatest in business history.
