I would say fixing the water shortage especially from the atmospheric as what's it removing as the ocean drinks that Spanish rome city with out water treatment management to farm land water irrigation systems which should be on higher 95% efficient system to seasonal vegetables that could yeild 5 time that per m2 while Apple trees are a little more complicated to a ground drain vs off run contamination so????end up like Hobart fisheries or get a real aquarium tank to real boys math to a pen treatment standard metrics 😁.

Let's look at some numbers. Since this panel does not generate water, but extracts it from the air, the amount of water will depend on the humidity of the air. Let's assume that the humidity is 30%. At this humidity (and a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius), 2 gallons of water are contained in... 841 cubic meters of air. Most likely, the panel does not extract all the water from the air that passes through it. Let's assume that the panel extracts 50% of the moisture from the air. Then, to get 2 gallons of water, 1682 cubic meters of air must be passed through the panel. On average, 1 cubic meter of air contains about 100 micrograms of dust. In less dusty areas, this figure drops to 5 micrograms, but in dustier areas (for example, deserts) - up to 1000 micrograms. But on average, it is about 100 micrograms per cubic meter of air. If you pass 1600 cubic meters of air through the panel every day, then the unit will get... ummm 58 kilograms of dust per year. Of course, some of the dust will come out. But some will remain. Let's say half will remain. But 29 kilograms of dust is also a lot. Where will this dust end up? In the collected water? Most likely - no. Most likely, there should be a coarse filter there that will collect all this dust. But... how often should it be changed, if we assume that 29 kg of dust needs to be collected (80 grams daily)? Perhaps some of these 29 kilograms will remain inside the panel. So... won't this reduce the panel's throughput? Will fungi and colonies of other microorganisms appear in the panel? And 29 kg of dust is an indicator for an average dustiness of 100 micrograms per cubic meter of air. And what will happen in regions with a dustiness of 1000 micrograms per cubic meter? The most important thing is that replacing the filters does not seem so cheap.

It doesn't matter: EXO-7's wings are not something we can create with current technologies. But maybe we don’t need to go that far to take a step forward into the future. Take a look at the wing suit. They have the sensation of flying, even though they lose 15m/s with ridiculous lift. Before wanting to revolutionize everything, we can perhaps just improve things first. We have 3D design software, we have innovative materials, we have electronic sensors, we are intelligent... Wouldn't it be possible to find a human-sized solution that increases the lift to approach that of an eagle?

A good start but let's go for 5 in 1. Add on board energy storage and heat pump energy extraction for warm water. Then send an armada of several thousand into the path of oncoming hurricanes to attenuate their energy by what? Maybe 1 or 2%. Just joking. Neil deGrasse Tyson recently complained about lack of engineering plans to extract energy from hurricanes. Love Neil but he was swinging wildly on this one.

How does the cost of this compare to the cleanest form of reliable energy? Nuclear £65-75 per megawatt-hour (MWh) levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

PS. for reference Gates' new plant opening 2028 if things go well will produce 345MWh for 60 years with an NRE of about $4B after operating costs will probably be about 20-30% cheaper that the LOCE quoted above.

For several years now the International Energy Agency (IEA) has declared solar energy as the cheapest for of electricity bar none. Including nuclear. Wind, solar and storage only continuing to get cheaper since the original announcement. And who is the IEA? The IEA is a long-standing, industry-standard, go-to data aggregator and forecaster for all things related to the global energy sector. All the pros in business, investment and government turn to the IEA when they need reliable energy data. The IEA has historically favoured legacy energy like oil, gas, nuclear and hydro in their projections. But now they especially say SOLAR IS CHEAPEST! Look it up.

If you lose the turbines and made it smaller maybe some sort of rigid inflatable, so it could be air transportable, I could see limited use for one of these in disaster relief scenarios. Apart from that, I don't see the point.

Everything is a lie. We do not have a water shortage. We have bussines that bottles water of any kind that separated from the stream for a long time. At least you can calculate how many million tonnes of water bottled by Cola company for beverages each day. Now multiply it by the number that does this bussiness. That is your water that you were looking for.

*All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity! Because there is hardly any wind close to the ground.* It is also extremely gusty, which usually shortens the service life extremely! 9 out of 10 systems no longer work after a few years. *Due to the extreme drop in the price of solar panels, they produce at approx. 2% to 5% of the cost of small wind turbines!* Reliable and almost maintenance-free for 25+ years!

Solar panels and Lithium iron phosphate battery has life of 30 years plus, in Australia you can get free solar panels and cheap lithium batteries. I have 8kw solar and 15kwh battery and I run everything in the house including cooking all year round, yes in winter some days can be sun less, only those days I wish I have temporary wind energy.

*Nonsense! All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity, because hardly any wind blows close to the ground.* Moreover, the wind is extremely gusty, which almost always greatly reduces the service life. Only those who MUST be off grid in winter should install a large wind turbine on a high tower. Otherwise: Forget wind power! *Solar systems, on the other hand, reliably generate over 25 -30 years electricity at approx. 3 to 8 cents/kWh.* Reliable and extremely low-maintenance.
