It'll stay concealed as long as you don't have to move. I stopped counting how many times I've seen people printing with strong-side hip carry, the grip of that gun will peek through every time you bend forward. It's almost impossible to avoid unless you have a compact and a sharp forward cant.

I disagree with rule #3. My State which is perfectly legal. If someone ask I tell them not because I can but I have a 2A right to bear arms. For me it always made more sense to open carry. I’m more comfortable with my draw time should I need it. Plus I’ve never been able to just blend in with the crowd. I’m 6’8” and 330lbs I’m not blending in for shit. My whole life I’ve been a big guy so open carry all the way for me. No point in trying to hide when you constantly standout. And one more reason I open carry is concealing a full size S&W M&P .45 isn’t exactly comfortable. I went full size because I bought a used gun which was cheaper in my state than buying a brand new compact with an extended mag. Full-size to me just adds one more point to the deterrent factor. Most criminals won’t do shit if there is a chance a full-size gun is gonna sing them a lullaby.

I open carry every day. I live in a small town in Oregon in the woods. It is fairly normal around here. I also train retention techniques and stay aware of my surroundings. Train constantly! Never had a problem. I have been open carrying for over 15 years after I quit law enforcement. To each their own.

Yes tactically, it’s better conceal. At the same time I’ve change my view of open carry, it is our constitutional right, and with society becoming soooooooo soft I feel more people should open carry. I have a CCL but I generally open carry IWB because it speeds up my draw by 0.5 to 1.0 seconds. However, when in a place where surprise attack is unlikely I cover. There is a time and place for every type of carry so I keep my options and my mind open.

I do both 50/50.... Just depends on were im going time of day etc.... Ive never had any probs or felt exposed. I do like that with open carry,is that as soon as your engaged with someone they instantly know were they stand with you if they are going to try and start anything. I open carry because I am not able to get a CCW. I do it as safe as possible with a Level 3 holster and keep aware of my surroundings. Although open carrying isn't the smartest option I want to exercise my rights and feel safe.
