95% of the top grossing films were made post 2000. You win some and you lose some.

Allied is a great movie and seriously underrated. I don’t remember hearing about it when it came out so maybe that’s why it lost money

Big LOL's, as the list goes on, and the losses get bigger and bigger. disiny products start to dominate the list.

It would have been nice if you included release dates for both the original (if any) and the remake. Most of these I haven't even heard from.

Cutthroat Island loss should be inflationary adjusted. That amount loss would be huge in today's dollar.

Some of these movies weren't too bad and gained cult following. The Postman was one I liked in particular. Sahara wasn't terrible either. Not a great adaptation of the book though.

Entertainment for the vacuum heads... what a waste of money. Instead of great story, acting, directing, etc...they give us mindless explosions, sex, violence and nonsense.

Most of those numbers are just copy pasted from Google snippets and are complete bs. Dial of Destiny cost 380mln to make, which means they needed 760mln box office just to break even assuming no marketing. It only made 360mln. They lost at least 400mln if not 500.

To look at this, you would think most movies are flops. I actually enjoyed 76% of the movies. So maybe they need to get a hold on their budgets. It seems like that is the only thing anyone is focusing on. And movies like Speed Race, The Seventh Son, The New Power Rangers.... I don't even remember any ads for them>>>.

Who wouldn't want to see an 82-year-old Harrison Ford in an action movie? 🙄

I have a few questions. Where is Water World on this list? Are the loss amounts calculated with inflation? How does one lose $125M on an animated feature? (Sinbad). Finally, I Loved Battle Ship, John Carter, Sahara, Treasure Planet and Tenet (Seventh Son was done Dirty, the book series (The Wardstone Chronicles, 13 books) is one of the best I have ever read, so much better than The Harry Potter Books, but for some reason they tried to compress all the books in one movie. Some of the characters gave me literal goose bumps when they entered the page.

I know this is of a month ago, but I would like to tell you if you were coming across this comment, some of these movies weren’t flops… There were just a lot of people who were just being stupid about the movie, treasure planet and sinbad are actually very good movies, just brought out in some times where more popular movies were coming in…that or just had dumb reviewers

Could any of these movies just had flopped/failed be that people mostly just wanted see them on DVD and not in theaters. Charlie's Angels I say is the worst of them.

Amazing how not that long ago people were talking about how Pluto Nash was the biggest flop of all time. Now it's barely in the top 50. Still, I'm also among those who enjoyed a few of these movies. RIPD wasn't too bad, and I very much like the premise of it. Dial of Destiny was far better than Crystal Skull, and I especially liked how they handled the absence of one particular character (making a decent plot reason as opposed to just scratch-writing them off like the second Beetlejuice movie did). And I want to see the Power Rangers reboot, but I've yet to find it on a streaming service.

This video is not at all accurate! They are only including the U.S. domestic box office, but of course, you need to include WORLDWIDE earnings. Many of these movies actually MADE MONEY, and none of them lost as much as this channel says they did.👎
