As a Brazilian, I am afraid of the political instability that will be promoted in Latin America from Washington. Argentina already has a government aligned with the US and is increasing dependence on the US dollar and international debt with US-based financial institutions. Also remembering that there are immense reserves of lithium on the border between Chile/Argentina/Bolivia (and other minerals all around the continent) that will be important for the electronics and electric battery industries. There were movements in recent years promoting coups d'état in several countries (such as Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia), all of these movements with support from the American extreme right. Mexico may have a good moment in the near future, as it has more stable politics and a president with a more solid plan for the country, without adhering to the neoliberal playbook propagated by the Americans. The US is not going to head towards a collapse and just watch, without taking drastic measures. Republicans even call Latin America their backyard.

Why is it that India always is a superpower in the future, but not in the present? 1/4th of the century is already over, and there are literally no signs of India becoming Superpower, infact there are signs of a serious downward trend. Vietnam, Indonesia or Thailand have the capabilities to become a great power. One sure thing always possible about India's future is that it will continue to be somewhat better better than Pakistan. And being somewhat better than Pakistan is not tantamount to being a superpower.
