When I was younger I used to be scared and terrified to go down in. My basement and then I was forced by my parents I stood there and then my dad went up to see if it was safe and it was we went up blah blah blah then we hear the alarm I went down like a boss but I fell off of the stairs but I caught myself then we went back into the basement then. I go to sleep I hear my sister saying we should probably get mom and Benny then I was scared but I went down again like a boss then I wasn’t scared anymore and you can still see a cut to this day

How are there only 6 comments! 5,032 views... and only SIX PEOPLE responded to the assignment you suggested in the video? That's crazy! :) I'm happy I saw this video... I am going to start watching Darren Daily every morning to start my day! MY OBSTACLE: I'm working towards a college degree right now and I chose to become a Chemical Dependency Counselor as my career path. This is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life because being trapped in addiction myself, I have been my own worst enemy all my life. I have two years clean now and am halfway done with my degree! Things are getting real now for me, as I am getting closer to my goals. At times the thoughts of self-doubt and fear start to creep in, and I tell myself lies that I can't do this, that I don't have what it takes, or that... if I do, I'm just going to mess it up like I've messed up everything else in my life. TOOLS I LEARNED IN THE VIDEO: But those thoughts only really creep in when I think about what's FAR ahead, so if I stay focused instead on just what's right in front of me I am able to stay confident, and move forward. And if I ask for help and talk about what I am feeling, I have people around me that believe in me and help me believe in myself. I have people that help me manage the tasks that are right in front of me, and like Darren said, it helps THEM to be able to help ME. I love this: What happens to you doesn't control your destiny, it happens to everybody. You're not unique, get a grip and realize how fortunate you are. It's how you RESPOND to it that is the real determining factor to your destiny. We have massive control over our futures. Control the controllable and let go of the rest! "Not dead? Can't quit."
