@aloeverah3150Ай бұрын
saw that coming from a mile away. you gotta pull on the fish, you cant just reel it in. use your whole body to throw the fish around with the rod while you reel it in. if it goes left you pull right, if it goes right you pull left, if its too low you pull the rod up. you cant just sit still reeling it in, if you do that then you're only pulling it with the string tip of the string and not the whole rod
@derfk6194Ай бұрын

Hi, I noticed some of your lower end reels were failing in the saltwater, and that is also my experience. However, how are your Daiwa Coastals holding up? I own a few of those as well an I am concerned about not getting them serviced before warranty ends.
@derfk6194Ай бұрын
They are holding up well. I don't open them up after every trip I just use a spray bottle with salt x and let air dry. Diawa , lews and six gill are good for a season before I have to open them up. The cheep ones we had issues with were going on 2 seasons now so I can't really Complain. FYI I just cleaned the old bearings and soaked in oil and installed them and gtg. Thanks for watching.

That was cool. So many things to comment on. 1) when Fred looked into the wheelhouse, I could see yellows on the meter. 2) I love the coordination when our lines got twisted. Jeremy was on braid and I was on mono. If we messed that up, my fish would have been toast. 3) Fred, double top quarter gaffs!!! My heart wasn’t happy. At least they’re on the boat! I guess you need to learn somewhere! 4) This is the stick that I got spooled on in my short. It worked just fine here and the drag wasn’t that loose.
@FinsNSpinesАй бұрын
It’s so awesome that you’ve been around those fish so much you can recognize them on that meter! It was so cool learning what to do and how to react when big fish tangle those lines. Sure makes you wonder how big that fish was that made your reel scream like that! One thing I noticed from this footage is I totally thought my fish was more straight up and down in that moment you guys were telling me to walk around the bow of the boat. lol it was the furthest thing from up and down. Thank you Louis!
