@@jonathanmontalvo1513 it would take a good price for me to sell this guitar because I love it so much, something like 1400. However, If you’re trying to sell one now, the market might be soft. Lots of folks are unloading top quality gear after loading up too much during the pandemic. So it depends, but that’s my two cents!

I think these amps have the best clean channel for pedals and effects. It seems to bridge the gap between solid state sound and tube sound. I use a silverstipe(express)and redstripe(studio pro) transtubes stereo run the Tdynamics at 80% with preamps and pedals to compress and add asymmetrical clipping takes the edge off. Anyway the squarebacks are gorgeous for vintage sounds. Cleans, blues, and rock they sound good as fuck. They fizz with high gain sadly

I have the Inspired by Gibson Epiphone Firebird and a 2013 Gibson Firebird. The Epiphone looks close enough to the Gibson for me, and the Epiphone FB720 pups sound better, IMO. I'll be changing the high output ceramic pups in the Gibby Firebird with some alnico Johnny Winter MojoTone pups. The case that yours came with is $129 new, so that's a bonus. I found an Epilite Explorer case for $89 and the Firebird fits in it just fine.

Question: a lot of people remember the T-60, but not too many remember the 3 pickup T-26. This was my first guitar. I've only seen 2 in the past 40 years.
@tjkcivic
@tjkcivic 19 күн бұрын
This is true. The T-60 was the flagship and they sold a boatload because it was so versatile, but the T-26 was a rock solid guitar too, just a more traditional pickup layout and execution. I've been on the lookout for a T-26, T-25, T-27, and T-30. It seems like the T-26 and T27 are the rarest though!

I got the same one new from Reverb around Christmas 2023 for $500. I put Duncan quarter pound tele pickups and a 4 way switch to get series wiring. Great guitar. Came set up beautifully from Japan. They really take peide in what they do over there. Also, I used to have a cat named Smokey! It's worth noting, they cut the switch slot big enough for a 4 way switch from the factory so no need to do any modification

In my early gigging days in the 70s and early 80s I had a Peavey Roadmaster that was loud! Outdoor loud and we played a lot of outdoor gatherings in those days. It was brutal moving the thing and the 4x12 to all the places we went, but I could not afford 2 gigging amps so even used in smaller indoor bars, weddings etc. The 5150 was not around or I definitely would have used it! The Roadmaster could also heat your living room in the winter time!

I've had one of these for around 7 years now and it's still incredible for the price I paid new. My fretboard isn't as nice as yours but I've got some nice flaming on my maple. The store guy swore that no additional set up had been done which surprised me since it was perfect straight from the factory. I did test another one after I bought mine and that had all the cheap guitar issues (fret sprout, incredibly dry and light looking rosewood etc) that you'd expect so mileage may vary.

Hey man, super random question. That red label case you have - how does this bass actually fit in there? I've been on a quest for ages to figure out whether or not Fender ever really did make a dedicated case for the MB series and the Lyte series. Weird I know but I have an obsession with instruments having proper OEM/OHSCs. My first bass was a Precision Lyte back in '96 and when I bought it I had to have the shop order a case for it and they just gave me a standard '90s red label Precision case. I thought nothing of it at the time, but several years later I noticed that it didn't really fit exactly in the mold. Since then I've had this fixation on it. I've wanted to get an MB-5 for a long time but the times I've found a nice one for sale the case thing has always been an issue. Sorry for the weird question, but any information would be greatly appreciated!
