Is there a way to do this automatically? I have some complex images that I want to convert to dxf and then use it for engraving, and I don't have the willpower to draw every single line. Is there a software that can do this automatically?

The curve point when you're trying to find an inaccurate way of describing it. I just thought of one, You could say the direction of the line at that point is like if the line was a road which can go up and down and side to side. But the direction of the road at that exact point is based on the direction of the wheels of the car and which way they have to face to stay on the road.

i am playing around with a sketch made of splines and it denies to make a pattern from that, just any construction lines or points can it accept

how do I get each object downstream to update if I want to change the sketch? I tried doing this by adding stuff to the "root" sketch which is the basis for the linear pattern, but all the downstream ones didn't update....

You can easily break the connection between independent and dependent to where they all become independent if you delete say the "3x" or dimension showing the linear pattern distance etc. Perhaps something similar to that was changed and it 'broke' that connection.

So , given the x,y,x coordinates of the surface of a 3D object I can just draw the 3D object with perspective without any art talent whatsoever!!!! Awesome!!! Is there some kind of graph paper that would allow someone to do this with a 4-dimensional object? I'm assuming one can change perspective by simply stretching or compressing the grid?
