Are bells required? Here in Northern California we do between 500-2500 feet of elevation and steep fire roads or single track. In one day you can easily do 4000 feet total. The terrain is hard, chunky, to lose and mostly exposed 😅. The trails at the east coast seem nice 😊.

Could be a nice system, but these have to have the absolute worst signage of any trails I’ve ridden. Learn from systems that have done it right and ensure every trail is marked clearly so new riders to the area don’t have to spend 5 minutes at every intersection trying to figure out what trail is what. Just put the name, rating and direction (1-way, 2-way) on a sign at every option. This could be a great destination system but we’re a one and done. Don’t need that frustration.

As of Summer Solstice 2024: Already falling into a state of disrepair and deteriorating quickly Needs some serious maintenance work else will look like the pump track at Stringer's in another year or so Hamilton County needs to step up here and take care of this awesome place

It’s great to know that there are 25 miles of apparently mountain bike trails. It would be nice if hiking trails get mentioned once in a passing moment. It would be nice to know what the status of walking and hiking trails truly is. Should people from out of town come to Standing Boy if they’re interested in a few days of hiking a few trails?

I lived right down the path in Maywood Park for 13 years and ran through Gateway Green for years when it was just an open, hilly field. I watched as all the bike park construction arrived just as I moved away. Ironically, only now I'm obsessed with mountain biking and am making trips back to hit the jump line.

Says adjusting boulders then cuts to smashing up the rocks on the landscape. These mountains are better off left the way they were put here millions of years ago. Human erosion beats out natural erosion by a 1000 times.

Thanks for all the content. I have 60 acres in Indiana. I started on some single-track last year. I am volunteering at a local skills park to gain some knowledge. I just bought a case 1830 to help with a jumpline. Most of it will be single-track while avoiding cutting down any trees. I'm a one man team, so the case should help me speed up things a bit.

I've been going back and forth with our mayor on getting some type of park built here in town. The former mayor was on board with it, and had some plans, but they never materialized. I'd love to have a trail I could actually ride to, versus having to pack up and drive to.
