This thing is WAY overpriced. You do not even get started with the million dollar conversion until you buy a used Lancair IVp from someone who will see you coming.

What a Wanderflug feeling to fly. I wish i could learn to fly an airplane. And what better airplane than this sexy LX7. The only thing I can think that would be better is flying with the Blue Angels, or Thunderbirds.

Yes! The airplane has electro-thermal deice installed standard.

based on the cost of this aircraft build and the fact that L4 propjets are recording cruise speeds of 300+KTAS can someone comment on the relative benefits of the LX7 build? Perhaps this question has been asked and answered before ... if so just put a link in here with answers. Thanks

It is not a kit, it is a conversion. You have to buy a Lancair IVp from someone, then its wing is chopped of and replaced and the engine is also another purchase, half million bucks.

That's a beautiful and almost perfect aircraft! Is this quite similar to Mike Pateys Turbolence? And what's the minimum required runway length?

Kinda but slower. Landing distance is 1800ft over a 50' obstacle. 1000ft for take off

Turbulence is 2 seater, this is 4, and the lx7 is pressurized de ice, i beleive turbulence is only oxygen and no de ice

After landing Standby on Transponder is wrong. ATC wants the transponder "On" now as many airports ground tracking uses that. But that's super critical. The flight was flawless!

Reminds me of a turbine Cirrus, and that’s a compliment cuz the Cirrus looks great, but I love turbine power. Once I started flying jets 10 years ago it’s reeeeally hard to go back to piston lol

No such thing as a turbine Cirrus. Cirrus makes piston singles and a jet aircraft.

mechanic friend said if its a cable operated fuel shut off you pulled, they work shutting off but they on everything they worked on, are required to visually check the valve has re opened fully, fool proof it isnt they said.

typically no options on these types which is a pretty big deal. Having a turbine flying in the flight levels without real time radar would be a non starter for most people but if you only fly in good weather have at it. This gentlemen probably has satellite weather or XM. It is pretty good but can lag up to 20 minutes at times.

Experimental aircraft can never be FIKI certified. Going intentionally into ice with it isn't legal.

Sorry I won't be going to Oragan, Portland is in Oragan and it is to close to Seattle Washington. Nothing would allow me to spend any money in that area because it mite help liberals succeed in their war against Humanity. Edit , I do hold an airman certification with several endorsements . Toxic politics blocks all financial activities. American liberals are responsible for the war in Ukraine. They gave Putin the assurance he needed to expand his land grab effort by putting a trader in the white house. By the way I don't like Trump either.

@@LXAircraft On your current website it shows that you are making the new wings. Are you manufacturing the new fuselage as well if requested?

@@electricaviationchannelvid7863 the LX7 is a conversion of an existing Lancair IVP airframe. The fuselage pressure vessel is retained and mated to the new wing and tail sets.

@@LXAircraft Well, I am looking for a cooperation in manufacturing for the EU market. That is why I am asking if you have the procedure/ engineering/tooling knowledge to make a whole aircraft…in that case a retrofit is not an option.

After spending two years of intense research. I decided on the Glasair RG lll as the plane I was going to buy after my retirement, which will be on the first of October. I stumbled across this plane and it changed my plans completely. Just my luck I’m about $700,000 short. I promised myself in my next life I won’t be a poor man. Awesome plane and I hope you sell a bunch of them as I’m sure you will! Brilliant! Cheers mates!!

Curious @RDD Enterprises, Would you be able to fit a couple of snowboard bags that are approximately 5ft long? Didn't know if the rear seats fold down or not.

Those might just fit into the back baggage area. I have not tried something like that. We do have LX7 pilots carrying travel golf bags in the back. The rear seats are up against the rear pressure bulkhead so they do not fold down.
