This is it! So many conductors rush their orchestras who are simply not ready for a quickstep. This one is, the pace makes sense, and is clear and crisp. Congrats!

can we appreciate the fine details in shooting: a. İt's really clear at some points the dust that's coming out of the bow due to applying resin b. you could really see a broken hair of the bow c. you could see the player vibrate even when the note has finished İ don't see those details in many videos, and İ really like how they get closer to what the player sees. melliflous to the ear!!

Beautiful! Thankyou!! I am not a musician, and can only comment from the point of view of a classical and modern dance teacher. It is so inspiring to see a musician living the whole piece with all their body as well as heart, mind and soul. You have made my Sunday afternoon. I hope your album release goes wonderfully, as you played this piece.

I've just bought the SACD. Incredible recording. Excellent balances, beautiful orchestral playing, tasteful individual ideas. I didn't think that we need another Beethoven cycle but we do need. The ongoing Beethoven cycle from Fischer/BFZ is a must.

I just discovered Mr. Scheenman's recordings of Lebruns concertos in the last 2 weeks. After reading Lebrun's biographical information and listening to these concertos, I have come to believe that Lebrun was somewhat of a proto-romantic. As a whole these concertos express a lot of emotions and Mr. Schneemann plays them as such. I have listened to a few recordings of these concertos by other oboe players and none express with nearly this much emotion. From what I can read of Lebrun's biograpy, the more emotional way of playing is the best interpretation. During Lebrun's time Romanticism was in its infancy in the arts and philosophy. Orthodox historians believe that Romanticism did not occur in music until 1800 or even 1830. I think they are wrong. Composers such as Lebrun and J L Dussek may well have been influenced by Romanticism sooner and thus composed Romantic music. Why is so difficult for historians to accept?
