30 degrees cold? Man in Kentucky if we get 30 degrees during the middle of winter we're wearing shorts and flip flops bro. But im getting a 200 sq ft cabin this would be perfect.

Never put your hand/fingers in front of the cylinder. Hot enough rounds and the pressure coming out of the cylinder gap will take your finger off..

I had a really hard time figuring out what system you had, then how the Ecoflow fit into the system, and where power was going into which unit. It looks like you have a super cool off grid home.

Of all the spring development projects I have seen on KZbin I have never seen one like this. I have no idea what you think you are accomplishing but I sure as heck wouldn't drink water from an open tank like that.

Seems to me that after the fuse holders there should be three 15 amp anti-flowback ("Schottky" DSS2X101-015A) diodes. Not a bus bar. And from there into a terminal block (6 to 2) before continuing on (just the positives). Because fires are bad. With the bus bars removed, you could add a second DIN rail for two terminal blocks (for the negatives, of course) and a heat sink on which to mount the diodes (using thermal paste). And yes, after the terminal blocks you'd want much thicker wire and blocks would easily allow for 6 AWG cable. Just looks like the bus bars in this case would melt. Blocks are the way to go, here. You're paying for the case, that's for sure. Really nice case.

I like it. Many good suggestions too. Why couldn't you have instead of lifting/pivoting along the long axis , you pivoted on the short axis? Instead of tilting a five rows long and two wide, tilt two rows high and five wide. Like Rodney Hunt's mount.

Many people carry their guns around with them on their own property. I've got cougars, bears, coyotes, and bobcats. I'm not worried about the smaller stuff but i will chase off a bear (I've done it before) and a cougar recently attacked two hikers about an hour from me. Killed one and severely injured the other. Better to have a weapon and not need it than need a weapon and have none.

I really liked the idea of making the dam from a plastic bin and not like everybody do it with a blue barrel. but I think that the location is not a real clean spring, as it is located inside the valley, and not on the side of the mountain. I think that it might be underground flow... these were my 2 cents...

Did this on my property in Kentucky and found some holes in the ground that look like a cave. When I got close to them, I could hear the water running underground. Now I just have to figure out how to capture it.

Why pour a load of concrete like that in the middle of nowhere in wildlife ? There are other ways to stabilise and harvest that water without contaminating the water and the area with concrete.

That's kinda a goofy take. Concrete is just limestone. It doesn't contaminate anything. "Other ways" aren't as permanent as a good concrete collection box.

@@EthanPDobbins The breathe in limestone dust and see how you feel after a few months. Concrete not sealed right in buildings is a major health problem, especially in poorer countries.

@@ramadamming8498 no, it's not a health issue. cured concrete is inert and stable. Do you even know what a concretion is? It's the opposite of "dust" 🤦🏻‍♂️

Wow 10,800 kilowatt hours! That’s a lot of! Are you sure it’s not 10,800 watt hours… which would be about 10 kilowatt total? I would think about getting rid of the widow maker plugs being used. Nice setup and should be well able to extend your off gridding experience!

Good for you for trying, 10/10 on the cuteness scale. I am not going to rate your job as I don't think you have addressed the natural surroundings, the aesthetic, or the future maintenance of the system. Fair dos for trying 👍

You may want to add pins though the 4x4s so that if the winch fails it will not drop far. Like every few inches like the distance you move if every few weeks. I had a winch get away from me lifting a grain bin. It could have killed me. Still watching it. Putting in a double pulley in would help.

I ended up moving the last two post to the middle and it goes up and down with easy now. It does have pins on top to lock it in place for safety. I normally just put a couple of screws on each post after setting the right position. Thank You for the advice.

Glad to help. I did move the first three 4x4 to the middle. This made really easy to move up and down with the winch. Then when I have it set to the proper degree setting, I secure it with screws. This secures it from heavy winds.

You could get a 300 gallon plastic water tank and set it downstream low enough for the water to run in. You don't need any concrete or anything. Just level a spot and flop it down. Water remains clean and covered in storms I like your collection system. I have a spring like that, it is in the bottom of a gulch that runs a lot of water when it rains. The spring is under a 2-3 foot waterfall. We had a wet rain season and big boulders came down the gulch and broke my outlet pipe

Victor, I think you're a helluva shot. I appreciate that you showed missing the (very small) targets as well as the hits. As for being attacked by a bobcat, do an internet search of which North American wild animals have killed people in the last 50 years. Bobcats aren't on the list. Texas does have the most fatalities by far compared to other states. I suspect that they are mainly from snakes, but I didn't delve into that data.
