I used to be an usher for Enterprise. During the Cup winning season, after a game we were going to get our picture taken on the ice. They took us around in the belly of Enterprise to enter the ice through the player's bench. We saw David Perron walking the opposite direction on our way to the bench. Some of us where like, "Hey, David!" as we were walking by him. Not bugging him for an autograph or anything like that, just saying hello. He turned around and thanked us for what we do and said he really appreciated us. I've always thought that it was so cool of him to do that. Keith Tkachuk is also really nice to support staff like that. I was scanning tickets at the All-Star game that Matthew and Brady were in. Here comes Walt with a bunch of tickets on his phone and his entire extended family. I mean his wife, and daughter, and parents, etc. Ticket scanner can't get a good read on his tickets and I have trouble scanning them. He's got a big group to get in but he was so patient with me and just smiled and didn't seem frustrated with me at all. He could rightfully have an ego, but he doesn't. Those guys get it. They are the real deal. 💙 Bring David home, Steener!!!!

At first glance I thought Perron had maybe come home again. I have grown up on Blues hockey since Hull and the early 80's. David Perron belongs in St. Louis period. Bring him home and put him in the front office with Steen, Macinnis and Army. Absolute rink rat that loves the game. One of the truest Blues I have had the pleasure of watching all these years. Thank you for everything David. All the best to you no matter what comes next.

I absolutely was excited like a kid when I saw David Perron on this podcast. He is literally the reason I started following the Blues. I hope somehow he makes his way back to St Louis before he’s done in the NHL. The guy just brings it and plays with so much grit and passion.

Love having the show on video! Great to see it growing and evolving! Walked inside yesterday evening and heard a Cicada in my apartment. Couldn't figure out where it was. Started shaking my shirt and heard it more. Shook my shirt again, heard it again. Panic set in. I took my shirt off and the cicada fell to the floor. That Cicada met the end of its life right there. I hate these things!

Longtime listener to the podcast on another platform. Jeff would be smiling seeing you guys growing this podcast to video on KZbin. By far this adds so much to the show for when I’m just chilling at home and I need my Blues hockey content. Also btw I LOVE the St Louis content such as the Cicadas. Also you guys can ramble about whatever you want. It’s like hanging with the guys shooting the breeze about the Blues, NHL, St Louis, and the family. All things this podcast drew me in on. I wish Jamie Rivers would make an appearance again though. Suggestion for topics for future shows. Touch on Dalibor Dvorsky and Michael Buchinger getting named to OHL All-Star Teams. Obviously you have to live under a rock if you don’t know how hard Dalibor is working but Michael is very promising as well as a future Defenseman. Also Juraj Pekarcik has been a surprisingly good pick for a late 3rd round pick. The guy is playing more like a low 1st rounder or high 2nd rounder. Go look at his point per game average is 1.372 which places him 8th overall in the USHL for PPG. That literally puts him up with guys like Cole Eiserman, Teddy Stiga, Michael Hage, and Trevor Connelly who are all projected 1st round picks for this year’s draft class. He looked good in the USHL. I watched him on Flo Hockey and in person against our local USHL team here in Kearney, NE. He definitely is making good on ice decisions and is ahead of a lot of the guys he’s playing with. Also what about the ECHL expanding to the Tahoe market and Bloomington, Illinois market? I’ve read rumors of the Blues becoming affiliated with Bloomington which is smack halfway between St Louis and Chicago.

Don't ever talk about politics on this program ever again Randy. Your showing your hand and to be honest it's nothing to brag about. Maybe go back to making fun of people's stutters. One of your best moments. Keep rolling those rrrs(sarcasm) and stop with the yo ho's and the sunshine and lollipops and roses and bunny's and having a weak back about a week back.you sad little shills. Hope you don't have to wait in line to long when you go vote for Trump Randy.Listening to you guys is like being at an awkward family dinner where you won't shut up and we are all rolling our eyes.

I agree that calling what Dewitt said a “threat” is definitely a stretch, but I think you’re missing why that bit of his interview was frustrating. He seems to think that fan frustration rests on the amount of spending the cardinals do because he immediately refers to how they put money from ticket sales back into payroll- but it’s not really the source of frustration. It’s with bad spending on contracts they have shelled out to Mikolas and others. It’s refusing to go after franchise altering players like Bryce Harper. More recently (unrelated to spending), it’s extending Marmol before the season. It’s with how they’ve mishandled young players like Jordan Walker. He explains the basic concept of revenue and payroll, but seems to not understand (or doesn’t find it valid) the basic concept of not wanting to pay to see a subpar product. It doesn’t have to be about sending a message. That comment also weirdly seems to shift the responsibility to fix the team’s problems onto the fans and implies (I won’t go as far as threatens) that reduced revenue will result in a worse product on the field.
@jeffgerst3619
@jeffgerst3619 Ай бұрын
You guys are awesome. Concerning the cardinals this problem isn’t something that just happened last year. This team has been in a steady state of decline for about a decade. Mozeliak brags about the team trying to improve and spending what it takes but if you spend on the wrong players that’s not improving the team. He has an absolute abysmal track record for signing free agents and his trades have barely a passing grade imo. He’s overpaid so many guys it’s really shocking and it appears he’s incapable or unwilling to compete for top free agent talent. Until he goes I don’t see this organization getting any better. Bottom line though is he and marmol and ownership talk a lot about being competitive. What that means to me is beinginhnin just enough talent to play well during the season so the fans keep coming. I don’t buy into that garbage that if they make the playoffs anything can happen. That’s a pipe dream. Yes some teams have won after being wild card teams but the odds are stacked against that mind set. This organization use to be the model for success but. Or anymore. It’s profits and ultimately taking advantage of the loyalist fans in baseball so Dewitt can bank another $100 million. Time to clean house

Why does Army get a free pass? Please discuss. Bruins, like the Blues, went to game 7 in 2019 with a veteran/youth mix. Look what they've done since. Army is in the middle of a self-proclaimed retool even though he has a supportive ownership that lets him spend to the cap and his 2023-24 roster broke down as follows: 2 forwards 8 mil 2 forwards 6 mil 2 forwards 4 mil 1 forward 3 mil 3 forwards 1 mil Young talent (Neighbors and others) 3 d-men 6 mil 1 d-man 4 mil 1 d-man 3 mil Young talent (Kessel and others) Elite cup winning goalie playing at the top of his game and excellent back up. Elite cup winning coach Imagine if you gave your general manager all of that to build a roster and he came back and said ...we will be a middle of the road team that will fight for a playoff spot. In Boston and not other towns, He would be run out of town. Why not here? Is it because he is the polar opposite of Mozeliak, and would be a good guy to get a beer with? Why?!?
