It’s great to hear another pianist play this arrangement by Norman. He used to be my piano teacher from 2010-2013. I was his only ragtime student and if he was still alive, I’m sure he’ll be chuffed by this performance.

This movie is so fake. No way some random guy and his kid, who probably lived off social media, Apple Products and Starbucks, are alive after a nuclear fall out. Country boys are the only ones surviving that engagement! I can promise you that gentlemen!

Love the hope infused beauty in this piece! The creative uses of both instruments are a nice touch as well. Excellent performances by both musicians.

This piece reminds me of the “Scarbo” movement from Gaspard de La Nuit by Ravel, would love to see you play that!

This work does have a few nice compositional techniques but...I wonder if there is actually any "moral value". You see, the ancient Greek philosophers all agreed that, to be called music, a composition must contain "moral value". I was not clear how this would be obtained yet there truly is very little if any here.

We suffer when we insisted on doing our own will! You're able to express it!

Yes. But God often allows us to suffer through external circumstances as well, even when are doing His will.

beautiful piece! I especially love the little clusters of notes (I don't know the technical term :P) played in the intro and throughout the piece, like at around 3:20 and 4:14. they remind me of droplets on water and give off an ethereal feeling

Beautiful job Samuel! I loved that you were able to introduce a unique chord progression in verse 2 and yet still stay true to the melody. Are these your own compositions? Or is this made up on the spot?
@piannyplayer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks William! I really appreciate your comment, and thanks for watching the video! I do run through the piece once or twice before recording to get ideas and try things out, but I am challenging myself to become more improvisatory, so I try to do as much as I can on the spot. In that section you are mentioning, I had already tried some of those chords, but there are others I used that I had not planned out in advance. :-)
@garrettfuhrman50033 жыл бұрын
Did you arrange those pieces?
@piannyplayer3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but it was just a quick improvisation on the chords. I didn’t spend too much time on it.
