Loved Klink, so well acted.... shaking the fist " Hogan ". Hahaha!! Was interested to read his history. Note in the way he sings some classical training. Wunderbar. But still can't stop thinking of " Ahhhh Frau Linkmeyer how beautiful you look today." Hahaha. Priceless. RIP Werner and John. True gentlemen of the day.

How wonderful to hear the original version of Silent Night. I knew German and British soldiers in the First World War had put down their arms to sing Silent Night. Wonderful to see yet another of Werner Klemperer aka Colonel Klink's talents on display.

This must have been on Hollywood Palace Bing Crosby produced the show and hosted their Christmas editions. His production company was also producing Hogan's Heroes at the time.

The three gentlemen presented are JEWISH!! The Jewish people were always generous to other faiths, while many of the Christians enjoyed MURDRING Jewish People. Jesus, if he existed, was Jewish. I'm surprised that the Romans who killed him on the Cross now bow to his image at the Vatican!!

According to interviews I saw; Werner Klemperer stated he would participate in H/H, ONLY IF the German/Nazi schemes featured in the show FAILED to be successful.

I still watch hogan’s heroes every week night. As a child our school performed silent night in German every year. This 2 and a half minutes was pure joy here at the end of 2024! Mr. Cleary just died a couple of years ago. Just leaves Nita Talbot and Sigrid Valdis I think.

Werner, John and Robert were class acts. I loved Hogan’s Heros as a child and only recently realized the background of these men. Singing in German and French was so touching. Germany created our Christmas traditions. I love hearing carols in German even though I only speak English.

Hogan’s Heroes was such a great ensemble show. Hogan was the straight man and everyone else were the comics, but each with a distinctive character and schtick. It’s dated but it works.

Does anyone know the date (or year) on which this aired? If it's listed somewhere in the description or comments, I'm sorry for missing it but owuld love to know when it aired. This is so incredibly powerful, for many reasons.

I sat down beside my wife of 44 years and watched 5 minutes of a "Christmas" movie. When I saw the 1st tranny on the show. I promptly got up and said "why in the world do they include queers and grannies in all these shows?" The which my wife said "I don't know". After 44yrs it's time leave my wife. 😂

Loved Hogan Heroes. The irony… all three here are Jewish… all three were victims of the third Reich. Robert Clary (Cpl. LeBeau) was actually captive in Buchenwald concentration camp. Cant help but love these guys and their incredible sense of humor…

Clary said in an interview that, while he was at Buchenwald, he feared of being sent to a concentration camp....I looked it up and Buchenwald WAS a concentration camp....he also feared that the shower heads would emit gas, but no gas emissions ever occured....he also sang to the SS guards....strange way of behavior if death was eminent.....
