My high school band director loved this song and this band even though he was JSU through & through. God called Mr. Mitchell home this morning so I just had to listen to this song after getting the news. Rest Easy Mr. Joe "Soups" Mitchell. I'll never forget you nor will I forget the many life lessons. Love you Buddy

Please stop comparing a Drum Corps to a college band. An HBCU college band at that who's style is completely different. You DCI fans are always so quick to insult, demean, and critique HBCU bands for naught. It's annoying, and I'm over it.

And this is how NOT to play this piece. It's not the marching band's fault really. A piece like this just doesn't really belong in the stands played by a college pep band like this.

Brick tator this is one of the innovative things hbcus marching bands do. They play every genre from a march to classical to opera to the billboard top 40. Schools like this are innovative and turn out of the ordinary pieces into great tunes like this. Search for this school playing flight of the bumblebee.

Marvelous!!! Phantom Regiment's signature piece, but FAMU's icing on the cake is their woodwind section (can't replicate those flutes!) Bravissimo FAMU!!!

For a college marching band this was WONDERFUL! I stand corrected - this was just WONDERFUL - period. Each body of musicians bring a little of themselves to each piece and the "soul" of this group made this most WONDERFUL. I listen with a professional ear, not always for what could have been done differently, but for what is done in the now. Simply put - WONDERFUL.

They were Silk Psi before they became Silk Prodigy they had a different coach that year named Alexander Lawrence and then they got Ms.Treena Jackson in 2006-2007 n it was still Silk Psi. I graduated from here in 2008. Did it become Silk Prodigy the 2009-2010 skool yr?

I am from New Jersey but still think this is one of the BEST bands I have ever heard in my life. This is my favorite song anyway and when I heard them do it, they made me love them even more. God bless you FAMU. Keep praising God.
