You inspire me and you make it look so easy. I ordered 3 bras the other day and none of them fit me the way they should and they were expensive as all get out. I am going to try and make my own and hope it turns out as beautiful as yours does. I am very big busted and people want to charge like $100 a pop for ugly plain bras if I can make them like you I could actually have pretty ones.

Looks like Pin-Up Girls “Classic”
@lynn8583 жыл бұрын
Apparently it’s self drafted, but Pin-Up Girls “Classic”, with cups closer to “Ruby”. Both are full band bras. The mention of Beverly Johnson at the end explains why, since that’s where those patterns come from, and why the methodology is near identical to a Pin-Up Girls patterns. It’s nice to see this for free though. Working from just the paper pattern without either the craftsy videos OR the bra making book (extra cost) would have been a bit more difficult, and this would have cleared some things up for me. But, this was a severe level up for someone who can barely put a waist band on a skirt, and I also want to learn bra making as a concept. If you’re coming at it from the perspective of wanting to make this particular bra pattern, and aren’t asking “why” about every single detail, you’ll probably be fine.

This was immensely helpful! I created my own pattern from a bra I bought that I liked the shape of, using all breathable, natural fabrics because I have large chest, and live in the Sacramento Valley of California where it gets above 100 degree in the summer, and beneath my breasts and under them is usually a sweaty mess where I get a rash due to synthetic fabrics! Using cotton and thin merino wool for wicking and dissipation of the sweat and padding (privacy). This will help me sew it together, because I have been staring at the cut pieces all week, unsure where to start. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Really like this video. If i could make a suggestion though. For tutorials especially for beginners could you explain what stitch you are using and use a contrasting coloured thread so we can see what each part should look like xx
