This is after Daigo came back from retirement. While Kokujin was attaining new levels Daigo concentrated on Mahjong. Pity Kokujin couldnt proove he was better than a Peak Daigo of 2004. When Daigo got 2nd and Kokujin was a distant 5th place.

I don't get it. Gouki vs Hugo is nearly an impossible matchup for Hugo if a high level Gouki plays safe. That was very safe. That is not "beasting".

Daigo is a very good player. When he gets annoyed, he's unstoppable. His comboing and parrying skills are hilarious to watch. I bet the developers must be really impressed by his skills. He's also very unpredictable, he will use an attack stream as long as the opponent does not know how to handle/counter it. After that he just something completely different.
